Tinted headlights for Aesthetics or something really useful?

So as the title says..

Somehow since I've started to notice one, it multiplied by a dozen. Why do people do this to their headlights? Is it really for the design as like they want all black in the morning then a dimmer light in the evening or is it that their headlights are really bright and they use a tint to make it a bit dimmer. I'd like to know what are your reactions or say about this. Cause for me, I find it a bit ok for the aesthetic purposes but it denies the headlight of its proper use.

otherwise, the manufacturers would have it upon rollout from the plant, imho.

Meron na ba dito na nakasalubong yung pogi na naglagay ng tint sa headlights para magmukang tail lights sa Las Piñas?

Sarap batuhin nung makasalubong mo ng madaling araw on my way home coming from terminal 2.

It's a useless accessory fit for a very inconsiderate car owner

Tapos magrereklamo kung bakit mahina headlights nila or papalitan ng sabog na HID with matching dark tint na headlight. Sa tail light naman, tinted na nga, led na mataas wattage with matching blink pa.

BTT: Hindi useful yan kasi nababawasan visibility mo on the road.

Ayun so we all have the same thoughts with this one haha. By anymeans, hindi ko po binalak gumawa ng flame thread if incase na may mod na makabasa nito.

Na cucurious lang kasi tlaga ako kung bakit dumarami na ung naka ganito (mula nung napansin ko)

No problem naman ata sa moderators itong thread. Basta lang walang makikipag-away.

I usually notice this in dark/black cars. I think they want to have an all-black/dark theme. (at the expense lights' purpose)

eh ung naka super dark tint .tapos bigla nalang na didikit sayo ng husto sa gabi.halos hindi na niya makita ung labas at hindi niya alam na naka dikit na pala siya dun sa katabing sasakyan sa gilid niya..

Marami na rin akong nakitang ganito sa EDSA. Pero mas madalas kong makita na ganito is sa tail lights nakalagay ang tint. Meron naman na ang headlights eh kulay red, blue, yellow, etc. Pati yung mga may blinker na mukhang di naman police car. Di ba may batas tungkol sa mga ganun?

Dark headlight tint is a no brainer. Bakit gusto mo mabulag sa gabi? Unless you have night and infra red vision.

Black tail light is also more of a hazard. You are inviting someone to rear end you.

Personally, i have a tinted tail light because i wanted to hide the scratches. It only slighlty affects the light output but still, better than those ultra black tail light na di mo alam eh naka preno na pala sila.

So yeah, ricer mods lang.

Nagkalat yan. Bagong bago pinapalitan ng blinking brake lights. Nakakainis. Tapos tinted pa. Lalong hindi nakikita. Takaw aksidente.

On topic, I did, once, do some tinting on my headlights. Had an old euro tapos may nilabas na French edition na hindi clear ang lens. Hirap maghanap ng ganoon so nagtint ako. Pero yellow lang. Not like the dark stuff we see around. Stock halogen lang din gamit ko and didn't increase wattage. Ang effect niya parang naka all weather lang
