Car cover?

Btw, my car is already parked indoor (basement), prob is very dusty even if you just leave it for a day or two. Some small paint debris are also falling from the ceiling, since the building is old.

I plan on not using the car for more than a month since i am leaving out of town for work.

How about the moisture when covered with car cover? Is it also a concern? Also, when covered, will it attract rats?

I think your concern mainly depends NOT on the car cover but more on the environment where your car is parked.

If you are leaving for a month, then a car cover is useful, to keep the dust away, but it will not keep the rats away if there are rats in the building.
Since its a basement parking, you can put rat killer pellets in plastic baking trays, and leave it on the floor, one below the engine bay and the other at the back.
Before, I even spray Baygon around the car for crawling insects, but that was before, now Baygon formulation are bugs friendly.

For moisture, I use the Elevo brand car cover, the inner lining absorbs some moisture. I usually put a plastic stick (wrapped in cloth) on my car roof to create a space for moisture to escape.
Don't apply wax when you are leaving your car for extended time and planned to use a cover. Moisture and heat will stick some of the lining material into your car.
In your return , when removing the car cover, lift the car cover upward, dont pull it sideways.

i wouldn't cover my car for a month.
i would hire someone to clean my car once or twice a week, if i were me.
i would also request from the parking administrator, for a more favorable parking slot, in the interim. yung mas malapit sa paningin ng guards.
