I couldn't understand people putting snorkels on their pickups/PPVs when most of them wouldn't even dare going thru a foot of water.

The snorkel on the white pickup looks awful, parang trunk ng elephant.

I don't know about snorkels din- assuming water won't be ingested into the air intake/carburetor etc., di ba mag short din ang electrical if water goes in over the hood? The alternator and computer box, etc. I don't think they're designed to tolerate being immersed.

This past weekend in Nuvali solenad may small na car show display saw 3 rangers off road modded to the hilt. but one was a white 4x2. So I guess for display purposes mainly. You saw that if you would been there this past weekend.

Yup. Sa akin, malaki naman yung ride improvment as a daily driver, compared to my old car (pag nasanay ka na kasi sa pangit, parang heaven na yung kahit average lang) hahaha

Sayang, wala pang Hilux "Conquest" when I bought my Hilux noon. It's exactly what I would have wanted back then. Minimalist lang. At least OEM pa, rather than spending extra for 3rd party mods.

Yung mga 4x2 (sorry ha?) pero tingin ko, yun nga yung mga porma lang. Well, aminado ako, I would never take my Hilux off road (worst was a muddy country road). But I just want to be able to "get through anything" if need be and not get stuck. After ko nga dalhin sa beach noon, pina pressure wash ko kaagad yung ilalim when I got back (salt spray & sand! AAAA!!!)

it helps prolong the air filter life. less dust and soot upstairs

would it not make the engine breath harder or suck air dahil humaba ang air intake passage?

Body lift if city driving lang. Kasi hindi gaano compromised yung handling compared sa suspension lift.

BTT: Masaya kaya mag-flood fording. Wag lang mag-hydrolock or hydroplane yung kotse while doing it.

Been using a 4x2 pick-up for almost 5 years and yung unang daan ko palang sa baha na past the axle-level in Buendia years ago, alam ko sulit na agad

Highest was upper grille level kasi may plastic bag sa grille ko pagpark ko sa bahay and of course the inevitable bent plate.

well if you don't want to touch the original suspension then go for body lift

ford snorkels have been tested by ford and their partners.. yun lng limited research ko. they should be ok even if theyre idling. havent seen problems with snorkels causing engine problems.

some blokes even dyno with the snorkels..
