August 13th, 2013 12:22 AM #1Hello,
Does anyone tried mega motion banawe to replace your timing belt? They quote me that P1, 800 for timing belt, P1, 800 for labor, and additional charges for cover gasket. But for the casa, it is worth 10k and above. So maybe I have save some bucks but is it worth?

i dont know about the shop, pero the same lang ang cost of parts and labor.
by the way, pa check mo na din ang water pump, para isang bukasan na lang.

Officemate ko has the same car. sa El Dorado Cubao siya nagpagawa. 1,500 singil sa labor.
and as per 1D4LV, check the water pump na din. sa fleet namin, usually sabay na namin pinapalitan ang water pump kahit hindi pa sira kasi at least 60k km na yung next palit ng timing belt. and same na kasi charge sa labor.

Sama mo na din cam and crankshaft oil seals. IIRC 250 isa neto orig. Don't buy replacements for these. Orig din dapat timing belt. Water pump pwede na GMB or any other reputable replacement brand. El Dorado AFAIK sells only orig parts. For replacements best bet is Bestcolt/Coltline in Banawe.
Edit: tensioner bearing din pala. Koyo ata brand neto. Di ko na maalala presyo.Last edited by JohnM; August 13th, 2013 at 04:28 PM.

I usually get better prices from Best Colt (whether it be OEM or replacement).
Yes, replace your water pump as well.

Naku, mahal maningil mega motion. Since diyan ka na sa area, try class a motor craft along Retiro going to araneta Ave. Madalas ako dun nag papagawa. Edward chief mechanic nila. Madali kausap and polido gumawa.

Madalas ko din marinig si motorcraft.
Totoo ba na per item charge nila sa labor? Meaning if papalit ka ng water pump during timing belt replacement, iba pa charge doon?

August 15th, 2013 10:07 AM #9Hello Guys,
Thanks for all your replies, but about Motorcraft, i have read a blog not recommending them, here is the link Paetechie Philippines News and Reviews 2013: Class A Motorcraft Banawe Car Repair Shop Woes. So do you have any other shop which i can choose from before i schedule this with mega motion? They said it will take almost the whole day to replace the whole thing.

My favorite talyer is a mechanic sa Caltex Blumentritt, San Juan. Or you can check out Speedyfix. Medyo malayo na from Banawe though.
Probably looks like a Coke sakto. Yes, where did you buy it?
