November 15th, 2008 12:12 AM #1hello here, any advise lang po sa mga car expert, heres the story: my car is mitsu.lancer pizza, nagpalit kc ako ng rim&tire in bigger size(215/45/17r) & im still using OEM suspension & spring, i've notice na sumasayad sya ng konte sa ceiling fender pag 4 passenger including driver ang load especially pag napadaan ako sa lubak...So the Question is, how to lift OEM suspension or what i need to do in practical way w/o sacrificing comfort riding & lastly how much it cost roughly, my budget is tight....
thanks in advance......

First, your tire and wheel size are not to factory specs. and still using the same suspension. 215/45/17 are not much of a big tire for your Mitsu and my guess is that your spings and or shocks are in need of replacement.
Get a better suspension system like gas struts or coilover, whatever fits on your car.

Your tires may be too big about 24.62 inches in diameter and wide. I had a 98 GSR with 205/40/17 (23.46") and never had that problem even with 5 passengers and hitting bumps or pot holes. It had stock springs and shocks with 160,000+km on it and not once did it hit the wheel well. However, the front did eat the plastic wheel well until it got chewed up and fell off. Also check you bump stops.

Goodluck!

Sayad parin pala ano? Ginamit ko kasi yan sa civic ko pero series55 lang siya na 195, rim 15. Mejo malapad na nga ang 215 for a lancer, IMO. Back to topic, wala naman siguro ingay yung metal washer as long as may rubber na nakabalot tutal sa machine shop mo naman ata papagawa yan.

Your springs will still sag after some time because putting the 2" spacer will cause it to always be under pressure and result in fatigue of the spring. I would suggest getting adjustable coilovers so you can raise it as needed, you can also add a spring with higher compression rate so it doesn't sag as much when you have passengers.
