i was just wondering, if you have the chance to purchase the new Pajero, what would it be, the diesel of gas version? why? pros and cons?

i believe many will say that their choice is the diesel version (lalo na diesel thread to)

the gas version will be a lot quicker.. also a lot faster drinking gas.. the diesel is more economical but suffers sa performance.. if sanay ka sa expedition i think ok ang gas.. dahil malamang hindi 4km/ liter ang paj..hula mga 5-6km/l ito... for everyday use..you guessed it...diesel..you wont race a paj anyway..

The diesel drives better because it has more torque at lower rpms. Plus, you consume less of a cheaper fuel.

The diesel builds up power early on. Especially the class-leading 4M41 engine of the GEN III Pajero.

We have two GEN II's here. My diesel and the V6. The V6 has great top end power. But it does not really have much to show at low revs. Just trying to mount a curb requires you to rev the V6 high. The diesel will climb it at practically off idle.

the gas version would be more responsive, for sure, but i don't think the 4m41 is a slouch...

I almost forgot. The Gen3 has a new gas engine. 3.8L V6. If you compare the 3.5L to the 4M41, no match talaga yung 3.5L.... im not so sure about the 3.8L though.....

dude shempre diesel genIII! economical & practical. its an suv, di ka naman makikipag 1-hit sa libis eh & kahit san ka pumunta dito sa manila traffic lang ang mapapala mo so mas ok if diesel ang ride mo para tipid. plus the 4m41 is no pushover. sabi nga ng dad ko kaninang umaga mas malakas daw lumaklak ng diesel yung prado namin compared to gen3 pajero diesel version. pero ok lang daw kasi nga diesel naman. btw, medyo off-topic ah, guys napanood niyo na ba yung commercial sa tv ng all-new pajero? angas ng dating eh... dude if your gona buy a new genIII pajero, get the diesel version. u wont regret it...

honetly, i will buy the diesel but until they change the diesel quality in the phil, gas kayo muna. the 4m41 will not be able tro handle the low quality diesel we hav here. look at what happened sa trooper ko. 3 years lang nag **** na yung injectors cause of the bad quality diesel. i know a few people who had the same problems with the trooper. direct injection kc. so wait n c kayo til pinas improves the diesel we have here. d cheap mag palit ng injectors. 60k sa trooper ko for a 3yr oold car.

    diesel engines are not SLOW,
they just have a different orientation.
diesel engines wants to start slow but they can beat a 1.6 sedan upon reaching full potential on a straight.
all it need is a TLC

3 hours ata ang 1/4 mile ng GEN II Pajero :D . Yung sa GEN I namin the 0-100 kph time is measured via sundial! Ang bagal! hehehehe.

Hanggang 150 kph lang ang GEN II. Pero 120 kph is no problem. Relaxed pa din.
