October 18th, 2003 12:19 PM #1my dad is thinking of replacing our 1997 VX(gold emblem) Prado Dubai spec with a 3.4 L V6 to the newly released Pajero 3.8L V6 .... is this a good move cuz im not sure it is...
what do u guys think? the sticker price of 2.45m is kinda high for a pajero.

move up to the new LC120 Prado nalang hehe
anyway, you should go test-drive the new Pajero so you can see for yourself if it's worth it. personally, i don't think so, you're looking at shelling out about 1.15 M (assuming you sell the Prado at 1.3M). siguro mas ok pa to save up and go whole hog na, straight to an LC120 or LC100.

The price might go down esp. with the new tax structure. Dubai spec models are usually the best in terms of feature and quality. They make good investments, too.

October 18th, 2003 09:00 PM #5yong 3.2M, old stock yan at pre-excise tax, meron namang mas mura dyan yong i-4 na model...
if you really want a prado, wait na lang baka maglabas ang toyota (not the gray marketers) ng 3.0 liter diesel at 2.3 to 2.5M range at new excise tax level

siguro naman maglalabas yung Toyota ng 4.0L V6 or 3.0L turbodiesel Prado at a price comparable to the gen3 Pajero (about 2.5M)

If youre getting a Pajero, make sure you get the Diesel. Trust me on this one. The diesel will kick the gas' behind all the time! dont mind the HP ratings, look at the torque dude!
