honestly, I'm not sure if it's still required...

maybe modern RWD cars have better fan clutch na...

pero even with some newer FWD cars, wala na din Aux fan...

Feeling ko tuloy the Aux fan is a 90's car thing.

The decision NOT include an aux fan is not something that is decided on willy nilly. Anything to do with vehicle reliability goes up the chain of command and are signed off by senior officers, engineers, designers, QA specialists, etc. As far as I can tell, all 3rd Gen Montero Sport and Pajero Sport in Asia don't have an aux fan.

Sure, adding a fan now wouldn't hurt the vehicle. However, whether it provides any real benefit or not, the jury is still out. What it does add is another potentially unnecessary part or parts that can break.

Well ang totoo niyan, nissan design naman na ang cooling system ng gen3, bigger condenser, pwede talaga na wala aux fan. Pero mostly naman ng nagpapa-install, since everything is just plug and play, palagyan na din daw nila. 100 percent, mas maaga ma-reach yung desired temp kesa walang aux fan. Mas marami rest time si compressor than oem set up na wala.

FWD cars with transverse engines will require an aux fan.

Radiators and A/C condensers still require forced air-cooling.

The radiator is mounted sideways and is cooled by the belt-driven fan. It's a freak accident in engineering design history and I don't think they do that anymore so it doesn't apply. ;)

yes may fan between the radiator and the engine... pero some (not all) new FWD cars, wala na yung fan sa condenser (between the condenser and the grill/bumper).

sir alec issigonis was knighted for his contribution to the british auto industry. while he is arguably most famous for his mini cooper with transverse engine and front wheel drive, he says he is prouder for his contribution to the morris minor.

    OT.
but we have to pay homage to them.

no aux fan: they probably thought we have free flowing traffic and thought the condenser will be cooled without issues.

problem is we have snail pace traffic. having that aux fan will increase condenser cooling efficiency. othee benefits are already mentioned..
