Have the same hissing sound when accelerating and also a vibrating 4x4 lever. It will just grow on you and soon you'll never mind it. I'm very satisfied with its ride comfort and engine power. Have the same cheesy feeling on its sound system but happy with the usb/ipod features.

Congrats on your new ride, You seem to have and rode on all the latest rides and thats lucky of you.

Aren't you just hearing the turbo spool up? It seems to be more apparent on the MS than on other vehicles. But hey, some folks even shell out cash just to make their turbos sound louder.

Yep, because the 4x4 lever is actually attached to a real transfer case and not just a girly electronic switch that commands boring actuators. You'll get used to it. :D

Sir Rangered thanks for the reply! gona sell my fort coz my kids keep vomiting using that unit due to stiff ride.. I guess your right after 3 days driving it, its kinda growing on me must say not satisfied with it ill just turn the radio tin can more louder and if i compare to my other diesels my ranger is more quieter than this..

but still satisfied with the looks and comfort so far engines ok cant test it till pms 1t km i run 120kph max..

Sir Otep thanks for reply.. trust me the whistling sound is not the turbo sound you want to hear its annoying like somebody whistling your ear thats kinda irritating.. it can be heard when i got 1500-1800 rpm at speed of 35-40kph i think, if its normal then i have to get used to it..

i like my navara 4x4 switch thats why if i compare a rough to a girlie im more girlie i think haha coz switching to 4x4 in my nav is so easy even if the wheel is not straight dont have to switch to N..

if vibrating is normal in 4x4 lever i guess its fine then im just not used to this..

Also bout the steering i can feel every slight imperfections of the road i think but its manageable its just i dont feel this in my other unit.. maybe my tire has too much psi have to change to nitro what psi do youg guys use?

But i still Love the Unit even if it has flaws, have to get seatcovers first thing this week my kids are messing my seats with their dirty shoes..

sirs, how about floor matting and seat cover (for GLS)? ano ba maganda at bagay na matting? meron na bang sukat? TIA

got my GLS last Sat Feb 14 with 20 kms odo reading, yes, noticed too the vibration at the 4X4 lever but overall parang sedan manakbo malaki lang dahil macho compared to my XTO

nakaka 50+ kms pa lang and when i checked and noticed the engine oil parang baby oil sa linaw and texture. from overnight rest lagpas nga sa MAX ng dipstick. para may basehan ako sa mga upcoming PMSs.

Mga sirs, question lang: Do I have to warm the monty's engine up before i drive it the first time in the morning (i.e. after parking it overnight)? I'm expecting my new monty this week or early next week and it will be my first ever vehicle with a diesel engine. Sa gasoline-fed engines kasi pwedeng start and go ang car.

makikisingit lang po regarding the monty's speakers (gls). try playing with your h.u.'s equalizer. when ours was delivered, i noticed that it really sounded bad. but after playing with the e.q., the sound improved.

hope this helps....

and by the way, is the fron speakers coax or single full range speaker talaga?
