Exclusive Unioil for the meantime. The only time nakatikim ng ibang brand Monty ko was nung nilabas ko sa casa and walang malapit na Unioil so nilagyan ko ng Shell + plus whatever brand na katiting na provided ng casa. Will try Seaoil but still waiting for feedback on their diesel with STP additives.

Im Im about to get a Montero GLX AT (1st choice) next week.. I actually have a scheduled test drive tom. I tried reading all the post of this thread from page 1, but had to stop at page 22 due to information overload

I get the feeling that I have to add a lot of things pa pala:

Initially I was just intent on installing a back up sensor & camera, and possibly enable the GPS. The I read about an aircon filter thing. And I totally forgot about installing the tint on this.

How much would it cost me to the the ff from the casa as I dont want to mess up any warranty of any kind:
1. Back up sensor
2. Back up camera
3. Ac filter
4. GPS chip

Optional
5. Spare tire cover


I have a few issues that bother me bec although this is the base model be it AT. Its a huge amount of investment for me.

1. That sudden acceleration issue - is it still happening?
2. Smoke belcher nga ba even though relatively new. - I have seen a couple of units emitting black smoke
3. Lumbar support - I have a really bad back
4. What the best tint. I need something dark yet clear from the inside. I know 3m is good, what about vkool, ba yun?

Thank in advance. My apologies for the strait forward questions. My thoughts are a mess at the moment. Im very excited to get this pero medyo praning on so many things.

to all montero sport owners, this is a simple diy.check the original air filter, below the filter there is a thick foam pad held by 4 plastic washer you can removed it by stretching the pad side ways out the washer.now the air filter is unrestricted, more throttle response gain and turbo lag seems to be minimal.don't forget to clean the filter every 5000k or 1000k much better.enjoy.

Many thanks to sir zix888 for doing my EGR blanking and installing the cabin filter. Next time sir OCC at K&N naman.

Nakalimutan ko pala sir itanong yung installation ng backup sensors? May guide po kaya na available online? Also will any third-party sensor do? Nagtanong kasi ako sa Blade sabi nila kailangan splice at i-tap yung wire ng backup lights.

Question is: do your engine gets cleaner air after removing the foam pad? OEM filters for monty was designed to filtrate air to serve as is. Removing anything from it to unrestrict air would defeat its purpose.

Lalakas nga hatak sir pero baka yung engine naman ang mag suffer kasi madumi yung air na papasok. Yung original airfilter ng monty is designed to use as it is and disposable sya. And yung mga performance airfilter naman like K&N, Simota at iba pang trusted 3rd party airfilter makers ay gumastos ng pang research & technology para ma achieve ang maximum airflow with minimal air contaminants pa-pasok sa engine and para pwedeng maging reusable.

Just got my unit last week. Do we need a spare tire lock for the montero? I looked underneath and i cant figure out how it can be stolen. Btw, i have spare tire cover installed already.

Is anyone here experiencing nong annoying squeaky metallic sound sa dasboard, particularly sa may head unit. Mas malakas sya pag medyo malubak and whenever i put some pressure by pushing the front part of the head unit nawawala and pag binitawan bumabalik ulit. Ive brought this in casa, nawala sya for a while pero bumalik din. Any thoughts or ideas, would be highly appreciated.

meron ka na ba sir mod para sa DRL ng 2014 model? Meron na naka-mod ng 2014 model nila sa MSCP using oem parts. Baka sakali magawa mo din. Pa-pm agad ako. Salamat!

Hello mga paps! Would like to get your opinions/inputs sana.. Ano po ba bagong features ng latest Montero ngayon? I'm torn kasi between Isuzu mu-X and montero all though I know that the mu-x's under powered compared to montero.. pero city driving lang naman.. Also, meron na po bang lalabas na bago for montero soon?

AFIK, mu-x kasi has newer features while yung sa montero po ba old pa din? like for example, the dash display isn't lit kahit na nakapatay park lights, ipod usb, etc.

If by adjust bro you meant up & down, meron yan lock sa ilalim for you to adjust the steering wheel. Kapain mo lang its there, then pull.
