Montero Sport Brake Stopped Working

Nag panic kasi ako eh, hindi ko tuloy na video para may proof ako. Nag attempt ako ng mga 15-20 seconds na irecover yung brake pero ayaw talaga. Sumenyas na nga ako sa parking attendant na umalis na kasi I am trying to identify what happened.

Di mo na sya mailubog pa kasi matigas ang brakes kapag wala kang assistance from the hydrovac, pero kahit sira ang hydrovac mo, dapat kumagat ang brakes mo.

Hydrovac failure does not equate to failure of your brake system, bibigat lang ang apak mo.

My experience with my new Montero Sport GLS AT 2017 model just bought last April 6, 2017. Siguro mga after 2 or 3 weeks na ata sa akin nun bago sya nag 1000km for PMS, nung i-start ko ang engine, kailangan mong i-depress yung brake bago pindutin yung start button pero napansin ko nun na sobrang tigas ng preno at nagtaka ako bat ganun. diniinan ko lang sya tapos pindut ng push button at nag start naman saka lang biglang lumambot ang preno nya.

ano sa tingin nyo guys ang problema neto pero one time ko lang na experience yun since bumalik na ako abroad last May 6.

normal lang yan sir.. ang hindi normal kung na start mo na matigas pa din ang preno..

This is normal sir as there is no vacuum sa hydrovac nung patay pa makina mo.

Pag sinabi mong brake stopped working ibig sabihin wala ka nang brake. Now pag matigas lang dahil patay ang makina eh normal yan.

that's normal... if i am not mistaken, that's the Hill Start Assist at work that prevents the vehicle from rolling backwards and makes hill starts easier by holding the brake as the driver moves his foot to the accelerator.

But I am not facing upwards. I am parking backwards and the vehicle is facing downwards. Is it also applicable for reverse?

the engine is running as described. Probably i can classify it as not losing brakes but maybe having a really hard brake pedal. I tried to read the manual and it says if the pedal resists to be depressed then take it to the dealership. medyo ganun yung nangyari sakin.

I just read sa manual na it also works on reverse. cool. but does it really lock the brakes?
