    Hey Guys,

    Last Saturday, I was parking my vehicle at Mcdonald's Visayas Ave. So paatras ko siya park, medyo may pasampa ng konti yung side walk. Probably 2-3 inches yung taas. Since medyo pataas yung parking, I need to depress the accelerator pedal para sumampa. Medyo kumamot yung gulong ng konti but very very minimal. Since may obstruction na sa likod nag brake na ko. Dun ko napansin na tumigas na yung brake pedal. Yes! Brake pedal. I checked it several times just to be sure. Mga 2cm lang nilulubog niya but not any deeper. Medyo nag panic na ako kasi brake na yung problem so I wasn't able to document by video. So pinasok ko yung gear sa P then pulled the e-brake, released the brake. Nag move yung vehicle forward siguro by half foot then nag complete stop. Then suddenly I can depress the brake pedal again.

    I will bring the vehicle to the dealer again this week. This is something dangerous. Not sure if this is because of EBD or ASTC or ABS. I have no idea.

    If someone can explain what happened then it will be appreciated. Sabi ng kakilala ko sa Mitsubishi baka daw nabigla yung brake booster. But why???

    I had the same experience but not on a Montero and not an AT.
    I am worried not on the brake pero sa masisira ko releasing my clutch and pag atras ng car.

    Since my tito is a bus driver, nasira niya ang handbrake the car. Ever since di ko pa napaayos at ang parking brake ko lang ay yung kambyo (engaging it to 1, 2, 3 etc) then leaving it as it is.

    The car park is slightly inclined. So pagpasok ko ulit ng car para umalis na, I stepped on the brake pero ang tigas sobra. parang 2cm din ang binaba.
    What i did is stepped on the both break and clutch, while the car is moving backwards, I kept on pressing then release then press the break until it engages. Umatras ako like more than 1meter but less than 2mtrs. Good thing no one is on my back kahit the area is known for it's busy traffic.

    May someone enlighten us on this? Thanks

    Normally you cannot shift from R to P without depressing your brake. But in your situation you shift it then you can depressed your pedal again.. this is weird and yung nabigla yung brake booster another weird findings. Better bring to your dealer since its under warranty and dangerous to use

    Usually diba nangyayari to kapag naka off yung engine then binomba natin ng binomba yung brake. It will come to a point na hindi mo na siya malubog and 1-2cm na lang ang ilulubog niya until start mo yung engine. That exact scenario ang nangyari. The only difference is, naka on ang engine ko kasi umaatras pa ako nun. Some people might say na baka mali lang ang tinatapakan ko. I am 100% positive na brake yun kasi sinisilip ko mismo. And hindi din pwede maging accelerator pedal kasi naka R pa yung gear ko or else hahampas ako dun sa likod. Wala naman ako clutch.

    So the question is, nabigla? How come? It's not like nasa highway ako then bigla ako napaapak sa brake. Less than 4 months palang tong unit ko. Kinakabahan na ko. Nag panic kasi ako eh, hindi ko tuloy na video para may proof ako. Nag attempt ako ng mga 15-20 seconds na irecover yung brake pero ayaw talaga. Sumenyas na nga ako sa parking attendant na umalis na kasi I am trying to identify what happened.

    Months ago na.
    Good thing lately di na naulit pa after nun. Kasi for safety reasons naghahanap na ako ng flat surface na parking.

    Could be a hydrovac problem, weak vacuum pump at idle/low rpm, vacuum leak, etc or the ABS programming.

    May mga nabasa na rin ako dito, slightly related, hirap sila i-depress brake pedal(low to no vacuum) while push starting the engine. Need pa tuloy diinan pedal para mag start.

    Anyway, if it happens again. Diinan mo lang ng sagad apak. May preno pa rin naman yan, matigas nga lang ung pedal. Good luck!

    ABS has no effect sa ganito, regulation alng gagawin ng ABS, it is more on related sa hydrovac or vacuum pump. Yung rpm during idle is already enough para magkaroon ka ng vacuum.
