normal daw on park/neutral. rpm surge when the ac compressor demands power. I wonder how big or small the alternator is..

I remember sa Civic FD, RPM drop pag nag eengage yung AC compressor, nanginginig yung car a little when that happens.

Don't recall this on an FB I rode recently...

ah so the ecu doesnt compensate for the added load on idle. newer cars will rev above idle if the ac is on max..

    new issue:

minor and only one owner reported this issue..

error message: steering has not been locked (google translate)

The ECU compensates pero slightly after the AC begins to engage na, so may short time where the car will judder a little.

That's a normal reminder since this happens to my monty also. It pops up when u open a door or tailgate when the steering wheel isnt locked yet.

Hindi lang nagbabasa ng manual yung new xpander owner[emoji51]

sounds like a warning sign, for potential buyers to "wait a while", for until after the manufacturer fixes these complaints.

    Three ways that could happen:
    1. The idle-learn procedure wasn't completed or done properly after servicing the engine (throttle body removal, etc.)
    2. There could be a faulty or out-of-spec part
    3. Normal wear and tear - Engines simply lose some of its efficiency as it gets older

My FD of 7 years exhibited minimal RPM drop on A/C engagement, until I sold it.

Normal naman talaga na tumaas ung RPM.ng kaunti pag nag engage na ung compressor. Wag lang lampas ng 200 rpm.

Yep, on a monty, turning the engine off while the door (driver door in my case) is open displays that message.

Not sure if may iba pang scenario to trigger that. Not sure bat naisip nung owner na issue yun. Haha. Kung problem yun, lalabas yung maintenance required na message.

Just bought it and currently at 3,170.2km reading

Average Kilometers per Liter is 8.62 km/L is this normal for newly purchased unit?

Yes, that is normal for a 1.5 powered almost 1 ton car that seats 7 in city driving.
