Last edited by Ry_Tower; June 30th, 2024 at 11:49 AM.

Wife will be getting the GLS as her company car. Discounts during the launch event brought down the price to 1.2M.
We don't need the extra doodads the GT has. At 1.5M there's lots of other options.
It's as wide and shorter than the Crosstrek but roomier inside. Sight lines are good and the fabric seats are comfy with good bolsters. Rear seats are comfy for 2 and reclineable with a flat floor. The 20 of the 40-20-40 rear seat back folds down to act as a center armrest with cupholders and provides access to the trunk. Trunk floor has two levels and thankfully the spare is inside.
We like the interior better compared to the Toyotas. The Yaris Cross was the worst as it had a dashboard bolt exactly where I normally place my left foot. I thought I'd feel the hard plastic especially on the door sills but it wasn't that bad as our XV had similar sills.
AC buttons! All of the buttons! No digging into the screen for commonly-used AC functions. Temps are controlled via actual toggles!
Engine performance is nothing to write home about. She was fine with the 1.5NA on the Mazda 3 and the CVT in the XV so this is nothing new. Perfectly adequate for the city driving it's going to do. For longer trips with full loads we'll use the Territory.
What other options did we look at on this price range?
We were considering Chinese but recent events dropped all their brands off the list.
We already have a Territory.
She was going for the Corolla Cross but got turned off by the Lexus nose. She liked the original nose better. Yaris Cross is small.
For some reason she never warmed to the HRV.
Seltos was up there and we almost went for it already but after some thought we held back. Sonet is good but small.
Creta not attractive.
Kicks is small and plasticky.
The T-Cross was a good drive and was up there on the list. Tharu is very nice but also very expensive. Her main concern was parts availability for collision repairs as we didn't want to go through a long wait for repairs.
She liked the 2008 and 3008 at MIAS but lost interest afterwards.
Will provide updates if/when this goes through.Last edited by JohnM; July 7th, 2024 at 07:44 PM.

Ah ok. So Wala pa Lang locally released na delicŕ dito. Pinapakyaw kasi Ng mga outdoor lovers...
