Diesel Purge for cleaning injectors
-pwede pour sa fuel filler
-pwede direct to the fuel lines (google mo na lang for details hirap explain hehe)

pero ako yun first method lang every 10k km ko ginagawa kapag nagpalit ako ng fuel filter

Oil additive/ceratec
-additonal lubrication/coating for engine to reduce friction
-pour sa engine oil filler
-good for 50k km

based on my experience, ok yung Ceratec bumAba ng konti engine temp ko during heavy traffic standstill mid afternoons scenario

Overhaul hindi na kaya? Dami naman parts at madali lang hindi complicated. Imho much better yun lalo na at ikaw pipili parts na bibilhin.

Major overhaul na ata ito. Sabi ng mekaniko I can either overhaul it or buy a surplus head and block. Mechanic thinks it might cost more to overhaul. Maybe once I get the total cost of the parts to be replaced, I can weigh the pros and cons of overhaul vs surplus replacement.

Yup that I will. Altho the owner of the auto shop is a family friend, so hopefully he's not planning to bleed me dry lol.

Nabali yung timing chain bro. So the valves might be damaged, etc. Head & cylinder block daw papalitan. It might be cheaper and less time consuming than an overhaul. But as the other 2 posters have suggested, I'll ask another mechanic to check it out.

I see. To give you an idea, just last December nagtanong ako magkano ang prices ng 4M40 engine kasi naghahanap ako ng transmission that time. Sa Banawe, its around 100k engine only tapos 120k kung kasama ang tranny na 4x4. Medyo malaki nga ang sira ng sa inyo dahil naputulan ka pala ng timing chain

Natawa ako sa last part hehehe... Sir try mo kumuha 2nd opinion kung na putulan ka ng timing chain high speed ba? Worst scenario putol con rod basag ang block. Pero kung low speed pwde racker arm lang top overhaul lang sya
