Even sa MT car, you don't need to depress the gas pedal to do a reverse, you just have to play with the clutch pedal with your left foot while covering with your right foot the brake pedal.

hmm I don't think so Sir. Pag dimo pinress yung gas mamamatay makina. You need to press the gas lightly while lifting the clutch.
Kakaswitch ko lang ng AT this year pero madali naman siya matutunan. Kaya if you're coming from MT, wala ka dapat issue when switching to AT, atleast to some. I'm just not convinced sa reason nung driver na sinisi niya yung old age niya

Baka mataas setting ng throttle control nya kasi karamihan sa new gen montero nagkakabit sila nun para hindi bitin sa overtaking.

I have no ecutek installed and never been nabibitin even overtaking uphill and or straight flat road kahit full passenger. If I need a power I will fully depressed the throttle.SIA

Why do you rev the engine at P (no matter if it's at 3k rpm or lower) and suddenly change the gear to R or D? At P, you make sure your foot is off the accelerator pedal so rpm is at its lowest. Many, if not all, requires you to push the break pedal before disengaging from P

No driver, who knows how to drive properly an AT does that. Parang mga Schumacher-wannabees sa stop light na rev ng rev.

Now I'm beginning to believe that most of the driver-induced "SUA" incidents are people who just shifted from MT to AT and still drives the vehicle like an MT.

Kung umarangkada sya paabante to cross the tire stop. Same thing should have happened when he crossed the tire stop on reverse. Maaring hindi sya swak sa parking slot kaya lumusot paatras sa tire stop. Tumama ang tires sa tire stop nung paabante na sya kasi maaring nagturn dahil masikip yung area.

Dinedemo lang nya ala slo-mo of what could possibly be happening during a SUA event.

Yung controversial montero, yung shift lock nya is only based sa button sa shifter. Kahit hindi tapakan ang preno magagalaw mo sya basta nakapindot ka dun sa butones. Dinagdagan pa nung shifter pattern nya na straight.

So imagine mo yung demo sa video was happening in a split second. Yun ang pinapakita nya, a driver error compounded by that missing shift lock sa brake pedal then the driver making it worse by pulling the shifter into a lower gear.

Very similar sa motorcycles where people get off balance then hold onto the grips harder kapag nagout of control, it makes it worse kasi napipihit lang nila yung throttle lalo making the motorcycle run away from them. Ito rin palagay ko reason bakit recreational vehicles na likely magkaaksidente like atv's, mga jetski, escoots, etc have a different method for throttle.

i can not imagine effectively pressing equally on both gas and brakes using one foot... unless the guy is a duck.
it would appear to me, that one pedal will be pressed more than the other.

Doc alam ko sa racing school tinuturo yun how to use just a foot to press simultaneously break and gas pedals. It requires a lot of practice so you can feather the pressure.

I haven't tried it though, di naman ako nangangarera

They do this heel-toe thing with MT cars using their right foot, heel on the gas pedal and tapping the brakes with the toes. This is usually done when passing thru corners at high speeds. Some new MT cars have launch modes where you put the gear on first, step on the clutch, press the gas pedal and rev to a certain rpm, then let go of the clutch to launch the car hard.

With an AT, you can launch a vehicle with a brake-torque step (step hard on the brakes, set tranny to D or S, floor the gas pedal up to the torque peak rpm, then release the brake pedal to launch the car). You have to consider though if driving a traditional AT, DCT, or CVT as they have different launch characteristics.

Modern diesel vehicles with manual transmissions do not need accelerator pedal pressed to move the vehicle ... The engine is powerful enough ... Even when reversing uphill ...

Actually as per news kagabi, umamin naman yung driver that it was a driver error. Mali daw naapakan nya. So instead of break, gas ang naapakan.
