Is it because there are more Monteros on the road than any of other types of SUV, hence the probability is higher? Probably not because there are thousands of Fortuner on the road also.

Is it because Montero owners/drivers are "dumber" than the rest? (Sorry for not having the right word to use)

Or is it in the design of the vehicle? Maybe the brake pedal is very close to the accelerator pedal, etc.

Or maybe a hardware/software problem?
Its in the design of the BRAKE pedal and the accelerator pedal (too close to each other). I have a 2012 montero and when I am wearing crocs slippers, there are few occasions that my right foot accidentally touch the accelerator pedal when I depress the BRAKE pedal. Lucky it is only slight touch and not fully depress like what happened to the white montero who almost killed the cat :bwahaha::bwahaha::bwahaha:

nonetheless, the only chance of me giving up my monty is if mmpc will replace it with 2016 model for free or give me extra 5 years free maintenance.
