Mitsubishi Lancer EX Pros and Cons

Hi Guys! Newbie here, I'd like to ask about the pros and cons of the lancer EX (just the lancer, please). I need some reference to help me decide and finalize a purchase early next year. Thank you!

PS: The other lancer threads are filled with so much side comments it's hard to know the real description of the car.

Which specific model are you planning to buy?

Generally:

Pro:
-powerful engine / quick acceleration
-smooth CVT tranny with manual 6-speed mode
-good suspension (comfort & handling)
-great handling / performance as stock, better with simple mods.
-good sound system
-nice aggressive looking exterior
-comfy interior
-good legroom for front and back seats
-simple upgrades (intake, headers, piggyback ecu) can increase engine power from 155hp to over 180hp from SPEEDLAB without affecting reliability & fuel economy.
-aftermarket goodies available (looks & performance)
-comes with factory alarm.
-GTA variant has lots more goodies like projector headlights that adjusts it's aim towards your steering direction, rain sensor, subwoofer, paddle shifts (also available in MX), etc.


Con:
-fuel mileage average (some expect better bec of CVT tranny)
-16s wheels not good for handling, (18s great for handling AND comfort with stock suspension)
-interior faux wood trim is ugly (but can easily fixed by either painting or vinyl sticker)
-cloth seats (no leather option)
-smallish trunk
-plain looking dashboard / too much plastic in the dashboard
-GLX and GLS have no rear stabilizer link / no paddle shifters.
-stock HU sometimes have poor FM reception
-weirdly, driver-side window has no Auto-UP, just Auto-Down only.
