January 9th, 2004 11:22 PM #1mga tsikot guys..nabasa ko sa other site na yung engine ng mitsu galant ang inilagay nila sa adventure gas type magkakaroon ba ito ng malaking diffence lalo na sa gas consumption and milage.at yung pulling power nito.since galing ito sa car? tanong lang po...

Siyempre mas hirap ng konti saka mas magastos. Pero mas madami naman nasasakay at mas mataas ang payload ng Adventure.
4g63 nga ata yung gamit sa Adventure. Yan din ang makina ng Lancer EVO pero iba ang specs saka DOHC na yata yun with turbo pa.

halos same lang yan..just think: why did toyota put a 2.0 liter engine sa revo nila? ksi talo 1.8 nila sa adventure eh

Gas consumption will have differences or at minimal. Even if both units have the same engine, transmission gears make up for the added load the Adventure carries. Add the fact that their final gear ratios do vary from compared units, the Galant has 4.041 while the Adventure has 4.875

January 10th, 2004 03:50 PM #5SOHC lang yung sa adventure at 8valves lang naging currious lang kung yung magging parehas sila ng pulling power as the standard mitsu galant..tested ko rin yung revo gas 1800cc at parang ayaw ko ng gamitin paaktyat ng baguio via kenon (camp 6)nakafloor na on 1st gear ang usad pagong parin with 6 normal person lang... ganun din kaya ang adventure?

Yung gearing kasi ng Adventure ay set to maximize low end pulling power (e.g. stop and go traffic) rather than top speed running.
Siyempre it will not climb hills like a sedan can because it is inherently heavier and designed to carry more. I've climbed Baguio in an L300 with a 4g63 engine (88 bhp version) and malakas din naman basta maganda ang approach at technique mo. More than 12 pa ang sakay namin nun.
And which Galant are you comparing it too? Dapat sa Galant MPi of the early 90's kasi yung kapareho niya ng engine. Not the sportier GTi (same body sa MPi), and not the model after it, too (yung kay ssaloon).

the 1.8 revo should be able to climb baguio at 2nd gear.. and based from the 7K-E engine specs.. the best torque is at 3200rpm .. kung lagpas dito eh babagal ang akyat..

January 16th, 2004 03:11 AM #10Yikess been using kennon road almost 3times a week car nga lang gamit ko normally ...all i know kasi pag nag rev up ka ng 1st gear nandun yung pulling power lalo na sa Gas type engine with the desired rev and proper clutch mixing bago i release ang clutch para mas malakas ang pulling power nya lalo sa front whee( l korek nyo lang po ako pag mali).... yung incident with revo ..nasa 2nd gear nako that time nag downshift lang ako dahil sa sharp curve and biglang up hill yung aakyatin oks lang humatak that time on 2nd gear yung revo .. kaso pag downshift ko ng 1st gear at nag rev up nakafloor na gas pedal usad pagong sya..hirap humatak parang nasakal dko lang alam kung naoverflow ko sya dahil pagdating dun sa patag bumilis na takbo nya at nag normalize....nga pla nakaconvoy ako sa harap ng automatic starex..pa turo naman kung papano ibang technique..
