Hi! We have a 2003 Mitsubishi Adventure, when I tried to open the locks via the remote, it doesn't open so I had to use it manually. I thought it was the battery of the remote but we changed its batteries recently. It was on engine lock so it will not engine start since I used the key manually instead of the remote, but when I switched the ignition key, not even the lights on the oil, temp, etc were lighting up. We already changed the battery before and I used it a week before and was working fine.

We suspect it was electrical wiring failure but the mechanic is still not available to check. Are there any possible causes that this had happened besides wiring?

Also how much will it cost if we fix the wiring if it is the case?

    Thank you

Check the battery again. It may be new but something in your vehicle might have drained the power out of it.

Thank you for your reply. We had check the battery (I suspected the battery at first as well), but I will check it one more time just incase.

If its not the batteries, do you have any suspected cause of this?

Hi, I doubt it is the engine lock since none of the electronics seem to be working but I will check if that's the case as well, thank you.
