as an aside, there was an interesting article a few months ago, from a well-known international tire manufacturer. it was entitled, "tires are not bananas".
in summary, it said that there are many more factors to consider than age, that will affect tire longevity.

It depends where the tire injury is. If it's on the Tread, the damage or injury is repairable up to 1/4 inch hole using plug patch

So I Googled what an m6 m8 bolt is. Honestly, I don't think it is big enough to significantly affect a tire's integrity. I watched how recapped tires are made and some damage to those old tires are probably worse than what happened to your tire. Anyway, for your peace of mind, here is some discussions from the internet.

Use the reserve tire, have the wheels balanced, keep the repaired tire as your new spare tire

throw it away. one day, you will be forced to use it, and it will blow out on you. and you will remember my advise.

i mean, throw away the damaged tire. keeping it as a spare will only compound your flat tire... when the "spare" blows out also.

    Ideally thats true

But its still serviceable, its just not safe for prolonged use, so why not keep it as spare?

After all a spare is utilized sparingly

only if it can be guaranteed that the repaired tire won't blow, during the short time that it will be used.

who wants to gamble, say, 4000 bucks, against one's and one's family's safety?
