I plan also to get before but I doubt the spare parts availability locally. So I emailed Mitsubishi and they confirmed that they are not supporting RVR and Chariots MX, though they look like Spacewagon. Pero they can order daw spare parts sa Japan in case papagawa sa kanila.
If u ask me, di ako bibili any model na galing subic na converted, especially RVR, Estima, Delica etc. etc. You know why?
Most people are now aware of the basic facts about Japanese used cars:
Japanese cars made for the demanding domestic market are always designed to higher specifications than export versions. While in Japan, they were well looked after and driven at restricted speed on excellent roads.
Nevertheless, due to Japan's unique social & economic constraints, used vehicles depreciate faster here than anywhere else and can be purchased at amazingly low prices.
Superb automobiles, beautiful countryside and
Unfortunately, congested urban areas, overpriced toll roads and tight holiday schedules take most of the fun out of long distance car travel. This explains why most Japanese used vehicles usually come with low mileages.
An efficient rail and subway transportation system is always favored for daily commuting, and the SHINKANSEN (bullet train) takes care of more serious traveling needs.
Consequently, having been through less use & abuse, the overall condition for cars of similar age will be considerably better in Japan than in most other countries.
Tuned-up performance units & SUV of tremendous capabilities are never used to their potential and routinely spend an entire life in extended neighborhood use and proudly displayed on courtyards.
Strictly enforced speed limits of 30km/h in urban areas, 50km/h on highways and 80 to 100km/h on toll roads, help produce a pool of low mileage vehicles. Vandalism & car theft being virtually unknown in Japan, alarm systems are extremely rare on Japanese cars.
On the other hand, features such as power steering, windows & mirrors, climate control, car stereo, ABS and airbags are increasingly considered standard equipment.

hmmm...I haven't seen setup versions like that. But I do know that they are really fast fast fast.maganda ngang project car iyan.
how much do they cost right now?
Oo nga, dont buy.....You're also killing our auto industry. If u ask me, di ako bibili any model na galing subic na converted, especially RVR, Estima, Delica etc. etc. You know why? Kasi banggain ka o ikaw man ang bumangga, im sure tengga agad car mo waiting for replacement parts at x2, x3 pa siguro presyo kung order from japan, swerte mo kung may makikita ka agad dito. hello!
i would like to share some information about my rvr. i have a gas non turbo awd version and frankly i'm very happy with it! it's fast and very easy to drive. it has great leg room for a small car and so far i have had no problems with it. my only wish is that i got the turbo version instead. i had the conversion inspected again for my peace of mind and the mechanic gave it a thumbs up. my friend has a turbo version he told me that he raced an evo lancer once out of town and the guy was so dumb founded why he couldn't shake of his rvr. its quite thirsty though at 6km to a liter city driving. i heard the diesel versions do about 11km to a liter. another thing, hope i can find a surplus space wagon dashboard coz mine is ugly. anyone have an idea where i can get one? thanks
OK naman ang RVR so far,I have same but 2.0 cc 4D68 TDIC engine.ok ang engine walang usok.malakas din arangkada kaya lang takaw sa diesel.excellent ang riding comfort & suspension stable na stable kahit sa kurbada .properly insulated pa walang ingay marinig sa loob.like a rally car hehehe...
Neg feedbacks:
1. right side mirror not set properly.Wrong angle
3. wiper unit not accurately aligned sa w.shield but already rectified
4. takaw sa diesel( don't know with gas)
5. mahirap daw hanapin ang parts
wala naman major welding re-connection kasi rack type ung power steering ass'y nito hindi gear box type..binaliktad lang ang position with the same mechanical linkages.
check molang maigi ung unit lalo na sa dashboard area maraming naka condemed.pero sa akin pina set up ko na ng maayos including aircond ducts and ventilators.ung digital auto climate air cond control nya pina balik ko sa original circuit kasi dati naka recta lang.
generally i love my rvr kaya lang problema un future maintenance nito kasi mahirap daw hanapin ang parts.
1. not set properly kasi pang rhd angle yung side mirror.Originally Posted by jeegoogs
2. same with #1, rhd settings kasi.
I don't see what's the biggie. Why don't people get the Spacewagon? More space, and it's still fun to drive, even in 1.8 liter trim.
These are nice cars, para ngang Lancers with wagonbacks on them.
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
