It's sad na until today, naeexperience pa rin ito sa latest gen ppv mitsu vehicles. Is it really that hard to design a steering column? Or malas lang talaga sa production at lemon gawa?

I have 2003 and 2008 model strada which shares the same underpinnings sa monty and both may kalampag nga sa manibela. Steering wheel feels solid, alamg play pero nakakairita lang ung tok sound lalo na pag pangit daan which is 90% ng roads sa pinas... LOL. Both nakailang balik na sa casa, sold my 08 na and ung 03 pang harabas na lang so hinayaan na lang namin.

La lang.. Just venting out... Grrr.. LOL

If the montero steering is assisted by EPS and not hydraulic then knock is expected because of the motor that aid easy steering. Electric motors are made of armature that rotates when power is applied to it. Get an armature from a toy and apply a battery on it an you will hear the knock

On the other hand steering fluid dampen whatever sound the steering mechanism generates

Fluid pa new momtero. Id say sakit ito ng mitsu. I have/had,

    1. Strada 2003
    2. Strada 2008
    3. Adventure 2014

Lahat may steering knock, my other cars/diff. Brand don't. Worst is the 03 strada, kahit naka idle lang ang ingay ng column..

Yes, but the knock feel is very evident when you're driving slow in uneven cemented road in the metro, in my case here in Manila. Another thing is how my concerns were handled by casa, wherein I have to go back 4x before it was resolved, but then again it's a similar case naman din with other car brand basing from my experience. Anyways, I am also thankful for there were also people from casa, particularly their service supervisor and managers, who are very much willing to assist my concern.

    Dear All,

I am new to Tsikot. Would just like to ask your opinion. I just got my Montero Sport 2017 GLS.
First normal ba na ang km reading at 58kms agad? Agent said because it came from Sta Rosa Plant.
Second I am very unhappy with the steering, its supposed to be brand new but I feel all vibrations in even roads.
Makalog at mangining, hindi stable. The feel is like a 10 year old vehicle na lahat ng feedback feel na feel mo sa manibela?

My agent said it could be tire pressure, I corrected all to 32 pero no change still wiggly.

Bro, bring it back to the CASA and have the wheels balanced, ganyan ginawa sa akin nung una nawala yung vibrations.

They use a trailer to bring the vehicles from the port to the main warehouse ... then it's usually driven to the dealership ... better to have odometer reading around 50kms ++ than something that's very low ... sometimes dealers disconnect the odometer when driven at far to dealerships ...
