That is why may mga warranty ang mga casa in unforseen defect with their unit. Not only for cars but also sa mga items na nabibili natin sa stores like mga electronics etc may mga warranty din because there is always a small place for mistakes. Nobody's perfect ika nga.

I'm quite worried sa mga early drl issues. Kahit pa within warranty pa lahat kung 1-2 yrs lang ang life nung drl, magastos parin yan after warranty ends at 3rd year.

If this becomes more common maybe clubs can pressure mmpc to get better suppliers or provide longer warranty for the drl assembly.

Probably their supplier has cheap parts.
Ive seen new forts with busted 3rd brakelights too.
Baka cheap chinese LEDs ang supplier nila

Some mux issues had busted drls too. Mas matibay pa yung DLAA na brand. These are the old versions na nasa foglight ang drl.

I noticed 2 Monteros with different DRL white shades... one was warmer yellow. Is it a sign that its about to go busted?

Since drl lights is on during day time, it might be prone to become busted in no time. The maker of this drl led among majority of the car brands not only montero's did not assess how long this led lights last.

leds have a very, very long service life.
but i am told, the easiest way to destroy an led, is via un-regulated power supply.

In this case, ok ang customer support ng casa mo. Yung iba walang paki basta ayos. Bro do you know if the headlight has a new part no? Revised na kaya?

If under warranty fine. The case is after warranty lapses. The headlight itself was really expensive.

He was pertaining about the regulated power supply ng led lights... not the whole car system...hi intensity led lights turn to draw all the current that is supplied by its power supply... so mabigat ang trabaho nya... thats y most of them have heat sink and the heat sink nakakapaso.... once its overheated... the voltage regultor goes wild and burn the led it self... this are my problems on billboard flood lights... branded or china made doesnt last long as conventional metal hallide... and come to think of it masmahirap pa mag palit ng whole lights assembly sa mga hi rising billboards... and another thing is led lights tend to degrades faster than coventional lamp e.g flourescent sa house... when you replace it with led maliwanag sya pag bago then eventually turns bluish pahina ng pahina ... then one day papalit ka uli kahit cra because the lumens once it produce now 50 percent nalang... yun flourescent pinapalitan natin pag pundi na... but neger bothered by its lumens weakening

so the drl units have a different power supply? i doubt it...

    same 12v..

the hid wil have a ballast for the hid lamps but not for the drl

Yes diferent power supply it has a ballast in a form of transistor embeded on the led lights circuit like pcb board... ive been using cree led lights on a motorcycle for around 3 years na... the housing of the led bar which is solid alum with design fins for cooling heat sink serve as the transistor radiator... motorcycle voltage is also 12v and the cree lights would accept from 10 v to 60 v ... auto volt..
most of the led bulbs itself runs at 1.5v to 3volts for high intensity it may be higher but not to the point of 12 v... so they installed resistor and transistor to regulate the voltage coming in to bulb itself...

Sana sa monty yun led lights sa hi low beam is plug in lang not built in... because some day kahit na umiilaw pa sya wala naman ng kwenta kasi mahina buga... para pag nagbpalit mas mura bulb lang not the whole headlights
