It's a facelift, mid-cycle refresh. Notice the shape of the rear door, it's the same as the current gen.

I hope everyone knows that there is such a thing as a test mule where you use either the front end or rear end of a new car and use the other half of an old car. Right now there are several spy shots in Australia of a test mule of the new Ford Everest where it is using the front of the Ranger and the rear of what seems to be the new Everest. A few years ago, there were test mules of the Ford Ranger as well.

Not saying that I am 100% sure that this is just a test mule but some people doesn't seem to know that one can easily use a diff. cargo bed/rear and connect it to diff. front end esp. when it comes to pick-ups and trucks.

You can't say it's just a facelift, mid-cycle refresh if its using an entirely new platform/frame like the new Nissan Navarra.

Fiat to offer its own version of Mitsubishi Triton in 2016 – report

The new-generation Mitsubishi Triton due to debut later this year will also be sold as a Fiat in Europe and Latin America, according to reports out of Europe.

The all-new Mitsubishi Triton has been confirmed for a 2014 debut ahead of its arrival in Australia in 2015, and Automotive News Europe claims sources have said the Japanese maker will provide its new ute to Fiat in select markets, with styling and specification modifications expected. Below is an image of the Mitsubishi GR-HEV concept, which is the precursor to the production version of the new Triton.

As disclosed by the President of Mitsubishi Philippines in PIMS
the new hybrid Strada will be released early next year. Hoping to bounce back in the competition. It was also confirmed by a friend of mine from Mitsubishi.

To be released but not in the Philippines, the market is not yet ready for mainstream hybrid vehicles.

When is the target date of release of the all-new regular fuel-powered Strada?

    Here is my guess:

Global Debut: November or December 2014
    Local Launch: within Q1, 2015

in other words, this should surface during the Fiscal Year 2014 of MMC (March 2014-March 2015). If it goes beyond that, something is fishy unless explained by them.

Also claimed are passenger car-like ride comfort and quietness, thanks to optimisation of the suspension, better use sound insulation, absorption and vibration damping materials, and a brand new engine – a 2.4 litre turbodiesel MIVEC motor that features a variable geometry turbo (VGT), aluminium cylinder block and a lower compression ratio of 15.5:1.

For the Thai market, the all-new powerplant develops 182 PS and 430 Nm of torque, while promising a 20% improved efficiency with either a six-speed manual or five-speed automatic transmission.

they seem to have copied mazda skyactive engine...which is all good

Looks like it is still based on the current platform. The silhouette and details looked very similar.

Probably a modified(improved) platform of the existing, with an all new shell and cabin mold

2015 Mitsubishi Triton Design Overview - YouTube

Mas refined yung interior ng new strada, naka optitron na rin at electronic na ang 4wd system
exterior, ok naman, medyo overkill lang yung chrome...

(parang magiging similar ang design sa montero )

Di ako nagagandahan, at all. The Hilux, which is now 9 years old, still looks better to me. Grille looks ugly and the curvy body is nakakasawa.

I prefer the exterior design of the current model. The interior seems nice though. I do hope the new engine does not disappoint.
