I was just curious if there are any news of any all-new Montero Sport coming this 2015? Medyo matagal na rin kasi tong model na to, panay face lift lang. Thanks.

Wala pang balita Sir go-to-guy about sa 3rd gen na montero/pajero sport.

Since inilabas na yung bagong strada/triton, possibly similiar or ang interior design, saka yung exterior..

next year, kung patience enough po kayo, baka biglang lumabas yung 3rd gen na montero.

i saw one advertised in KAC for 25k, theres another one in MSCP for 17k. maybe you need to stretch more your budget

Hehe The touch interface and some cracks lang yung pinaka problem so far working naman yung headunit yun nga lang with the manual buttons located below. what a pricey stupidity it is... anyways thanks Sir for the info

pag EGR blanked na, tapos may smoke pa din? 1300km palang, although minsan ko lang na note ung smoke, not sure about the color kasi gabi e, SLEX/Osemnya highway on ramp from Nichols towards EDSA. Binaon ko tapos pag tingin ko sa rear view mirror parang foggy. 110km/hr cguro un nag downshift cya sa 3rd. pero after nun nawala naman na.

EGR pa din kaya un? or could it be fuel? Unioil diesel user here. Traffic and low RPM driving wala naman, observe observe lang. Nung sinabi ko sa kasa un sa VV ang ginawa ni-rev lang ng ni-rev hindi nga uusok. Pag tumatakbo and loaded lang makina tsaka ko lang napapansin un dati before na blank/blocked off ung EGR. Ngaun ko lang napansin na parang dump cya ng what I think is smoke. Probably need some drive by tests and see kung praning lang ako or kung ano ba talaga.

need mo lang i-pump gas pedal for few times lalo sa umaga para mawala yung naipon na soot. minsan kapag free at maluwag ang daan, need mo rin ihataw rig mo para maibuga ang naipong dumi sa exhaust line mo. need mo rin linisin ang air filter mo ng maganda ang higop ng intake air at para more efficient ang combustion...

thanks sir, gonna do some research din, according sa iba hindi daw mawawala tlga ung smoke kung hindi pa fully spooled ung turbo tapos binaon mo gas pedal. Uusok daw tlga un. try ko ipractice na wag mag baon sa low rpm and observe cguro.

Don’t get me wrong sir I do like a car that doesn’t belch that much smoke. But one thing I don’t understand dito sa pinas, people like to buy diesel cars because of fuel prices but doesn’t fully understand that deisel engines will always have that puff of smoke once in a while. Meron pa ibang nag sasabi na “ayaw ko nyang car na yan dahil ma usok kahit bago pa”. My reaction is, huh? dude its a diesel engine..... And then scratch my head

Try to check this site and you’ll even see that they are proud to be a diesel truck with black smoke and they do really hate the prius, hehehe. If you don’t like black smoke then you would be better off with a petrol engine car.

IMO egr blanking doesnt stop black smoke, it just prevents us from having a bad day when the valve is stuck and sensor go haywire and CEL warning appear due to carbon build over time if routine PMS is not followed, kaya bina-blank na lang. Egr is installed after the exhaust manifold so kahit ilang blank pa gawin mo if the engines puffs out smoke lalabas at lalabas din yan. Now with the egr ma reduce mo ang black smoke but then over time that black smoke will build up carbon on the egr valve. Yes egr for me is useless if you think of engine maintenance. Dagdag lilinisin lang yan and for environment certification lang ng manufacturer. Now this would be ok if we have a clean diesel in the Philippines but sad to say na napaka dumi ng mga fuels natin dito sa pinas kaya kahit euro compliant yung engine mo useless din pag dirty fuels lang ang ikakarga mo. Lalo na dito sa amin sa probinsya. Mapipili mo lang ang mga station na ok yung quality ng fuels. Minsan nga kasama pa tubig eh. I have personally experienced the latter.

As what monty_GTV have suggested, in the morning you can pump your pedals to push the soot build-up out of the exhaust system of the engine. Other than that, just follow the routine pms and enjoy the power of your diesel engine

sir kahit ako nagulat, at dalawang friends ko na halos kasabay ko bumili kaso sila parehas montero.

sinunod ko lang lahat ng tips ni sir zix tapos gumanda hatak at nawala usok ng unit ko, kahit iharoroot wala black smoke.

eh mas newer pa yun units sa mga friends kong naka montero pero grabe usok sa unit nila kaya ayun sabi ko nalang sumunod lang ako sa tips ni sir zix ^___^
