uy! bossing same route tayo hehe, no need to break-in na talaga kasi ginawa na sa planta yan,
ina agahan ko alis sa umaga para maka hataw man lang sa roxas, so far less than 4k pa lang tinakbo ng monty,

yung break-in kasi kunwari bago overhaul makina palit ng piston rings, valve springs, etc. recommended ng mga mechanics wag muna lalagpas sa 80kph ang takbo for first 1000km, para dahan dahan lumapat lahat nung rings at valve seats, tapos nun, pag walang nag usok, pde na hataw.

May nakalagay naman sa manual about running-in (Break-in), not recommended daw yung short distances and heavy loads. I travel from Malabon to Mandaluyong which is around 22km-24km depending on which route I take so I was thinking malayo layo na rin yung byahe ko.

If indeed I need to break-in my monty what is the top speed and distance I should travel?

Hi, I just got my montero last May. I would like to know if any of you have tried Unioil's Euro 4 diesel? The owner's manual specifically mentions using only Euro 4 diesel, but Mitsubishi SA recommends getting from Shell or Petron which are still Euro 2. I'm thinking of trying Unioil, but I am not sure if it may cause problems later on. Thanks!

Go ahead and use Unioil. Euro 4 diesel is cleaner and safer for Crdi engines.

We use shell v power nitro plus. 2km odo gls v user here still no smoke. Ganda humatak no turbo lag tamang bomba lang sa makina to get the rpm that I want. Wala naman din kasi unioil or seaoil dito. Lol. Happy trip guys! Ingat lagi.
