Saw the GLS MT kanina sa showroom. Impressed with the interiors, luwag talaga. Pulido ang pagkakagawa din sa loob. One thing I've noticed, sa push start button nya: what if masira sya in the long run? I've checked the portion kung san mo manually nilalagay yung susi and i-start ang kotse, pero wala na sya dun. May parang plastic cover na sya. What if (knocks on wood) masira ung push start mo in the middle of nowhere? Wala ba talagang manual override? (pero kahit na, excited parin ako to get my unit next next week. ^_^ )

Naka-cover lang yung keyhole, pero natatanggal daw yun in case need mo gamitin yung susi.

Basta ako antayin ko muna kung sure na applicable yung 40k sa cash discount, bago ko iclose yung deal sa SA ko.

dito sa Cebu, cash discount talaga ang buong 40K... may option din to have the 40K deducted from the total price or from the DP...

Naka-cover lang yung keyhole, pero natatanggal daw yun in case need mo gamitin yung susi.

I think yung manual override kapag sira ang remote e yung butas malapit sa transmission stick. Di ko makita picture. But you can see that hole, upper left sa thai version, so sa atin upper right kasi baligtad yung orientation nila.

Iyon sinasabi mo sa shift lock release iyon kapag low bat na tutusokin ng susi sa remote para maishift sa neutral posiition iyon sa mga cvt models iyon hindi emergency overide keyhole iyon . Alam ko pag lobat ang remote ipapasok iyon remote sa slot sa may console madedetect ng scaner at puwede istart. Ganyan sa Lexus at Toyota new models at Nissan.

Ok naman yung CVT, wag lang aabusuhin at alagaan ng tama, keep in mind that it uses the exclusive Mits CVT oil, absolute rule po ito, at dapat yung certified Mits mechanic lang ang bibigyan mo ng karapatang galawin yan. Actually yung 21km/LFuel Economy Test was done using CVT Mirage, this transmission is primarily designed to save fuel. FE with the MTransmission remains to be probed, I don't know how compatible is EU combined cycle FE test with Philippine road settings, Dyno test kasi ito, simulating City driving in one test and H-way driving in the other, then the results are mathematically combined.

Mirage MT has also taller gearing and final drive ratio compared to Alto K10, which can mean to a more agile motoring at low RPM. I have an extra set of 5.5J x 14 mags which can accommodate 165/65/R14 tyres without messing the Odometer, or cornering. I am also thinking of upgrading to GLS model but being loaded with such automation in very critical functions scares me, I have seen enough vehicles at the repair bay which just refuses to start. I've been a victim of these glitches myself.

It will be just fine, just keep in mind that we are not buying a Land cruiser or Audi._ And don't be obsessed about those extra bells and whistles, it will just increase the chances of messing your car. Just keep it clean, beaming, and smelling good.

Over the holiday and weekend, i have been around the metro and i kept on seeing a lot of mirage in car trailers...siguro i saw 5 to 6 trailers...mukhang malapit na makuha ng mga future owners ang mirage nila...

Also got an update from our Valle Verde SA this morning that the 15k discount and free LTO only applied to bank financing, not cash purchases. Meron ba dito who were able to get the 15k cash discount na magbabayad ng cash? I feel like we're getting the raw end of the deal, cos we're only getting the standard freebies (tint, floor mat, seatcovers, etc.) since we're paying cash.
