Maybe inhibitor switch problem. Bring it to zix or kirsten if you are in Metro Manila they can easily find and fix the problem.

Hi, I'm now having problem on the tranny of my 2012 Montero Sport GTV (150,000 kms). After driving for more than 50 kms or more and on mainly uphill, the "D" blink (engine check light on) and the transmission is stuck at 3rd gear. Even if I stop and Park, then proceed to drive it's in 3rd gear, which means from stop position.

I was advised by a mechanic to overhaul the transmission and after doing so the same problem persists. Now what I'm doing if the "D" blink and engine check "On", I stop the engine and restart. It will work properly for a while with engine check still "On", but after few kilometers the "D" will blink again and has to start from engine off.

After several days the engine check will automatically turn-off and light "On" again when the "D" starts to blink.

Any thought or experienced that can help on my dilemma? Computer checks had been done and even the input shaft speed sensor had replace.

Meron bang service center or hotline ang acdelco in case biglang nag deadset ang battery which is still under warranty? Just like motolite? I bought my acdelco from s&r shaw. Battery is already 19months at 24months ang warranty nya pero nararamdaman ko na mahina na kasi during starting, nagsosound off ang alarm ko. Sorry kung meron ng thread on this, but cant find it.

set the ac to max blower setting and thermostat max setting. you should be hearing this distinct sound when the aux fan engages. (full speed). when its busted, slow motion na yan

Sir ask ko lang po, kasi pmnta kami ng mcdo southwoods kanina, almost 3kms ride lang ok naman aircon malamig. Tapos nung pagkakain namin, pag start ko ng engine hindi nalamig ung aircon pag binubuksan ko parang hangin lang tsaka tapos biglang may kakaibang tumutunog sa unahan ko. Nawawala pag pinatay ko ung aircon, ano po kayang problema? Samantalang bago po kami pmntang mcdo galing po kaming longdrive from quezon city to binan laguna ok na ok naman po siya non. Btw im using montero sports glsv 2012 a/t. Maraming salamat po.

Nangyari na din yan sa kin. Pero karaniwan nangyayari yan sa kin kapag sa ibang gas station ako nagpa-fill up. Try mo na lang na i-reset. Disconnect the battery tapos connect ulit.

How about the inhibitor switch? replaced too? Might as well check it.

Could it be a possibility of transmission now overheating? (to the person saying the gear is stuck on third and D is blinking?)

Has the ATF been checked and replaced with Mitsubishi ATF (not aftermarket)?

You are in 150T kms, has the fluid and filter replacement been done to the transmission before or ever?

When “D” is blinking, you are in failsafe mode, tranny will be stucked in 3rd gear.
Maraming possible reasons, low fluid level, not so good fluid condition , clogged atf filter, cooling system(since nakaheat exchange yan sa radiator), input/output shaft sensors.

Installing transmission cooler usually solves tranny fluid overheating.

Bro check mo muna kung ilan memory ng sd card mo, yung latest map update pang 4gb na memory lang, hindi kaya i-accomodate ng 2gb.

Good pm mga kamonty. Napansin ko lang lately yung pag whistle ng turbo ko minsan intermitten lalot galing sa madiin tapos biglanv release ng accelerator. Is it normal? Dati kasi parang deretcho sipol lang in any condition or baka ngayon ko lang napansin.

no idea bro sa parang sinisinok, di ko naeksperyens ganyan. minsan kapag nasa steady/slow driving ako at tahimik ang paligid, ibinababa ko bintana then i listen sa sipol ng turbo, so far ok naman.
