Good day po nga sirs!

A/T during running in/break in period?

Nakalimutan ko na rin kung anong correct speed or engine rev during break-in. May motocycle po ba kayo dati? ganun din po ang concept nang break-in nun and yung sa car. I'm no expert but generally ang purpose po nang break-in is to make the new mechanical components lalo na ang piston rings to seat properly and smoothly inside liner kaya hindi hinahataw yung mga bagong engines is dahil baka ma gasgas ung liner sa loob dahil sa bagong piston rings or ma wasak yung piston rings mo. Baka sa sobrang excitement kaya naihataw mo yung bagong rig mo

Thank you.
We'll anyways, it's a hard lesson learned, hopefully wala naman sanang mawasak.

observe mo na lang muna yung unit mo sir if may abnormal response or noise ba yung engine. IMO if you bring your rig to any mitsu casa for inspection if duda ka, never mention to them na hinataw mo while nasa break in period pa tagilid yung warranty mo dyan.

IMHO it's not a big matter to drive a new car at 100-110km/h, especially the modern ones. Even the Revo's (slowest and oldest car in the house) manual allows for a maximum speed of 100km/h during break in. In fact there must be some high speed exposure too. It's not good for the car in the long term if you keep it at a crawling pace throughout the break in period either. At 100km/h, the engine speed of the Strada VGT 5AT is only at the vicnity of 2000rpm, IIRC. It's actually very much relaxed at that speed.

before bumili kami bnew car yun din sinabi sakin ng casa break in period wag papatakbo morethan 100 km/h

luckily till now wala sila problema sa engine

    ano kaya ang totoo hehe!!

Magulo din kasi! Yung nabasa ko net, some believe that revving it up the red mark is better compared to pampering it, others don't believe in the break in period and think it's just a myth, iba naman sabing hindi na daw uso ang pag break in sa makina dahil makabago na mga makina at processo sa paggawa dito. Hehe sa manual na lang ako maniniwala.

i believe during the break in period it is advisable to reach the 100km/hr mark from time to time. you may read posts about break in period and you will also know this is true. i think your ride will be fine

as a matter of fact its all up to the owner if he wants to risk blowing his engine out by driving his/her car above the break in spectrum. But if you want to be safe then it is common sense to follow what the manufacturer is telling. Makabago man o maka luma if you care for your engine I don/t think it would be wise na ihataw mo yung makina mo. That's why it is called "break-in period". Some say that hindi daw magiging maganda yung top speed pag binibaby mo sa break in. Well, last time I tested, I got 190km/h on miy rig, all stock. But if you dont believe in the the correct breaking in of the engine, then by all means do what you like. Its your car and money
