If galing Thailand, it is a good quality, I think the trade mark is YALE ,made of harden steel, kaya lang ang weak point is the lock itself, if you dont grease or lubricate the key hole dahil sa tilamsik ng putik, tubig will settled in the key hole & seize up on the later stage. I had that in my old Mazda (B2500) & lost the lock somewhere down the road dahil hindi nag-seat properly nahulog.

^ Isipin mo na lang na makakarma din at mababawi mo din ninakaw sa'yo. Yung lock niyo, para hindi mag-stuck, balutin niyo ng plastic. Tapos once a month, buksan at subukan pati yung spare tire dapat once a month, taas-baba yan kasi mahal magpalit ng mechanism niyan. 2 na kilala kong nagpalit niyan, surplus truck mechanism na lang at pa-fabricate nung round lock para sa tire. parng P6,500 ata spare mechanism.

Chief, mayroon sa Carryboy spare tire mount around 2,500 pesos ata. Carryboy Philippines - World class auto accessories, fiberglass canopies and more
yung ang laging nawawala kaya mas magandang ma-secure yan kaysa bumili ng spare tire.

July 1st, 2011 01:22 AM #1878Sorry to hear about your loss Sir. I would recommend what S'shakatak mentioned. Yung sa Carryboy nakakabit sa chasis specifically made for this tapos may rubber pa to prevent dirt from going into the key hole, I have this installed myself and so far nakakabit pa po yung spare tire ko. Medyo mahihirapan ng talaga yung magnanakaw kasi dapat lagaring bakal dala nila. It's a long rod tapos, yung dulo po where the lock is ay parang naka T sa rod kaya di talaga matatanggal yung rim mo. May additional discount pa po tayo sa Carryboy. Hope this helps Sir.

The theft of your spare tire was so unfortunate, gbp77. Talagang madaling manenok yang spare tire ng strada, kaya sa club, one of the very first accessory that we recommend to our new members is the spare tire lock. I bought my spare tire lock from miggyboy, at P1,200.00 3 years ago. Not sure though if they still have it on stock. Try contacting them and inquire. Here's their contac number: 330-1644 / 365-8207
I also saw this spare tire lock being sold at Ebay Philippines. You can check this link: INNOVA VIGO FORTUNER TRITON SPARE TIRE LOCK OEM and see the picture so you'll have an idea how it looks like.
