Has anyone upgraded the speakers of their ASX GLS? I remember seeing one in the thread pero di ko na mahanap.

I haven't upgraded the speakers/headunit. But honestly, I would prefer to upgrade the headunit if it's possible to somehow retain functionality of the steering wheel controls.

I did changed my car speakers, including tweaters but it was done by Mickeys. Focal ang ipinalit ko and pinalagyan ko din ng sound deadening mat. Also bought a Pioneer subwoofer and place it under the passenger seat. Nice sounds

Sir GH, do you have a GLS variant? 2 din na AVT yung HU. I upgraded my speakers and added an amplifier but the sound is not really what I expected it to be. Very limited kasi yung audio controls (subs, treble, bass). So I guess kailangan ko rin pala mag palit ng HU. Sayang lang kasi yung GPS function that I find very useful pag out of town.

Medyo OT: would you suggest to get an equalizer/processor instead of getting a new HU?

Wow! Nice sir. Medyo budget lang yung setup ko. JBL GTO lang sir. Balak ko nga Polk pero namamahalan ako e.

Shallow subs nilagay niyo sir?

I have the GLS. The headunit is really the limiting factor. Even adding an equalizer will somewhat improve the sound BUT you will still be dealing with a bad source with limited file handling for MP3 and video files. It would be better to find a branded (Pioneer, Sony, etc) 2DIN headunit with GPS function.

I would think the stock speakers would actually produce good sound if the headunit was better.

Okay... Now that is a sad news. Looks like extra gastos na naman to. I already notice the audio controls but I was hoping that if I put an amp maging okay yung sounds. I didn't change my HU kasi sa montero when I upgraded my speakers and planing to do the same sa asx.

BUT don't let me stop you. I am just struggling with the touchscreen on the ASX especially in GPS mode. The touchscreen itself is not sensitive enough so keying in info can be s..l..o..w...

I AGREE... D ko nga maoperate yung GPS when driving. You have to press hard para iaccept lang yung input mo. Then the processing time pa. At first I thought nga it hangs e. I've been checking the net but I only see china made radio/dvd/gps unit. Wala akong makitang branded. Guess neec to look harder.

Nice, love seeing different shoes for our ASX. Hopefully we can do a meet up to see all these in person...
