What would you do in terms of a Zombie outbreak?

Depends, are we the real-deal voodoo zombies, which are merely the drug-addled half-dead slaves of voodoo priests? Or the classic, foot-shuffling brain-eating zombies from the horror films? Or the new "OMFG, I can run really fast even though I'm a rotting corpse" zombies? Or, worst of all, the "I Am Legend" type that runs fast, is insanely strong, is manically homicidal and intelligent, to boot.

If it's the first, no big deal. I don't do drugs.

If it's the second, no big deal... Just carry a big stick or a flame thrower when you have to walk outside and wrap barbed wire around the front of your car.

If it's the third... errh... bomb-proof suits?

If it's the fourth, we're doomed... no use even trying...

Dawn of teh dead zombies? Mabibilis tumakbo yun ah...Sawed off shotgun with plenty of ammo to spare, grilled windows (no problem with that as we pinoys have grills installed as standrard in our windows) plenty of canned goods so we may survive till the zombies die out.

Pero shotgun talaga ang pwede for the extra kick. Full auto weapons will only delay them...and also always go for the headshot, para tipid bala

-hahanap muna ng isang gun store first hehe!
-aarbor ng mga naka park sa kalsadang kotse or sa showrooms para brand new
-pagasolina
-hahanap ng food stores para sa supplies at aids ko
-ikakarga lahat yun sa car
-idedesign yung car na parang pang twisted metal or vigilante 8
-hahanapin ko yung crush ko sa bahay nila para kamustahin kung hindi pa zombie xD
-look for survivors at another source ng pang kabuhayan incase tumagal ang outbreak
-arm my house with the right utensils
-magdadasal na sana hindi naman kasing lala nung malulupit na horror films yung IQ ng mga zombies sa paligid

Dawn of the Dead zombie

We would fare well enough since many homes are secure enough from intruders.

The only real problem would be securing enough water and food.

BTW, it was never mentioned how long a "Dawn of the Dead Zombie" would last (weeks or months) under typical weather conditions.

What would you do in terms of a Zombie outbreak?

1. secure guns and ammo. Preferrably different types including handguns, shotguns and rifles. Night vision goggles would also be nice.
2. secure transportation. Preferably a big 4x4 SUV. Full tank of fuel and a few reserve tanks in the back as well.
3. secure food & water. Preferably canned and things that will not spoil.
4. secure a "base" that have multiple points of exit.

Optionals:
-two way radio. You never know if you would find someone else alive.
-2nd vehicle beefed up to be zombie proof (high ground clearance, grilled over windows, gun ports)
-additional stores of fuel and a generator. Power is always helpful.

Sir Jonsky, minsan naisip ko na rin yan lalu na kapag dumadaan ako sa mga hi-way na merong cemetery sa tabi lang. Sabi ko sa sarili ko, "what if nabuhay lahat ng patay dito ano kaya mangyayari?"

Siguro kung kasing dami ng ammo na nahukay kela Ampatuan ang meron ako, wala na ako problema plus of course secured home with barbed wires na may kuryente, food and bullet-proof SUVs!

Or at least makagawa ng "Basnig" para dun na tayo sa dagat muna malayo sa dalampasigan... (hehehehe) Unless maging zombie rin mga isda! Nyahahaha

Shotguns?for me di advisable yan,handguns or pistol lang ok na. You need atleast a headshot,di natin kailangan ng lakas ng shotgun pero kung un lang ang available why not. mas mainam kasi un common na caliber like 9mm,.45 ACP,.38 SPL kasi mas madali makahanap ng mga bala kesa sa iba. pwede din high powered,semi lang dapat hindi full auto,kung marunong ka kahit wala na scope basta isa isa labas ng bala gagawin mo.

Shotgun kasi bulky na baril pati bala,di sya advisable sa maramihang zombies. hindi kasi totoo un isang bala dalawa o tatlo mapapatay,ilang meters pa mula sayo bago maging kalat ang bala nito,kung kalat man hindi ganun ka-fatal sa headshot since pellets ang lumalabas dito. Let's open our mind,mas malaki chance nyo mapatay pag shotgun unlike sa handgun.

Advantage of shotguns is you don't have to aim well to hit the brain.

With a handgun or submachine gun, trying to aim for a zombie's head at ten meters is already difficult, aiming for the brain which is 1/3 the size of the head is even harder.

A shotgun simplifies aiming.

1st- Find friends para mas mas masaya at mas mataas ang rate of survival. Kahit 4-5 lang kami ok na. BE SURE TO HAVE A GIRL WITH YOU hahaha.
2nd- Kumuha ng mini bus then gawing bulletproof. I tune na malakas ung hatak then gumawa ng small window na gawa sa fiber glass then enough para makita ang nasa labas tapos may maliit na butas na susuutan ng baril. Maglagay ng CR, Lutuan sa loob.
3rd- Ilift ung mini bus para pag tinatamad mag shooting dadaanan lang lahat ng zombies hahaha
4th- May Upper deck na secured din tapos para mas enjoy mangtrip sa taas ung sniper then pipili kung sino gustong barilin.
5th- Store canned goods ung sobrang dami. Then Gasolina din.
6th- Then guts, courage, diskarte. You'll survive the outbreak.

With the popularity of Zombie Apocalypse movies and games (e.g. L4D2 and Killing Floor), I'm sure many will be prepared, and armed. In no time, ubos lahat ng zombies na yan! :D

OT: Does anybody here remember that old Darna movie with Vilma Santos that featured a zombie outbreak, and a gigantic toad? It also had Ike Lozada who was staked multiple times by zombies but still managed to crawl to the church to kiss the feet of the Sto Nino before falling over dead. Wala lang...hehehe.
