It's just CDR kaya I was shocked when my laptop couldn't read the cd anymore, I thought it was formatted. Looks like nagloloko na rin my DVD drive

it happens.
first, the computer won't read a particular CD.
then, upon second or third or fourth try, it can read it.
to be safe, copy it na, po, as back-up.
not all CDs are created equal. some are more equal than others. consult google.

Before, I kept my important files in a micro SD card. It was small, easy to conceal and makes me feel like the spies I see on TV [emoji16]

But then my laptop card reader stopped working, so I bought a USB card reader, then my SD cards get corrupted. So I finally decided to buy the traditional USB flash drive in the smallest form possible.

I ruled out CDs because they were thin but wide, you can't pocket them. You also have to use DVD drives which were becoming extinct. And lastly, you can't read them on your phone.

I'm just sad for this friend of mine. May tao sya na supervisor, nag resign, favorite sya ng VP ng company, so they offered her a promotion as assistant manager.

She was ok as a supervisor, promotion to assistant manager means more responsibility. Actually she just wants the promotion without the additional responsibly. Pero tinanggap pa rin nya. It turns out she isn't fit to be promoted. Dami delayed na project, yung boss na nya which is my friend na ang sumasalo sa ibang load nya.

Ngayon na dagdagan ng trabaho friend ko, also medyo nagiiwasam na silang dalawa, they were good friends before the promotion.

I guess the lesson is not use promotion just to entice the employee to stay, evaluate a lot of times to determine if they are really fit for the position.

My Tita is selling her house in Makati that's near our house din 😭 Bili na lang condo near their house for when they will visit PH. Everyone is leaving this country, pero the price per sq m really shot up in the last 10 years!

i started making backups of photos when digital cameras were just 640x480 that's 0.3 megapixels

wrote them to CD-R, then eventually to DVD-R. just checked them last week. still readable

Oh no. I used to have horrible acid reflux but I believe taking probiotics daily helped me resolve it (Yakult and Kimchi) I was shocked nga it was so effective for me.

Found out today that one of my Mom's best friend's is in the hospital and diagnosed with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer. She's a doctor and she always makes my Rx. Kaya pala on Wed she apologized na she can't write the Rx I asked for which is a FIRST in my entire life. She is not feeling well and will go to the hospital. I mentioned this to my Mom na something must be really wrong. Sunday my Mom gets a message from my kinakapatid na my Mom's best friend can go anytime. How did that happen e we just saw her a month or so ago and she was so strong pa and even came to meet my Mom ALONE. She goes places alone talaga.

I am shocked that my Tita (one of Mom's best friends) passed away kanina. I didn't expect it to be that fast. One minute she's okay, then the next she is gone. Ka chat ko lang siya sa viber on March 26 she was on the way to the hospital, then March 30 her son told the news na she has pancreatic cancer. I told my Mom and Tita to see her na asap so April 1 they went to see her tapos April 10 in the evening she went home then April 13 madaling araw she was gone. That's less than 3 weeks from not feeling well to gone

She's one of the strongest among my Mom's friends kasi 80+, she even takes the MRT when going to Makati from QC because it's faster daw no traffic and she does it ALONE. She also lives alone (her son lives a few houses away)
