I have been meaning to ask this for a long time, I know I can look for the answer over the net, but baka meron may alam sa inyo.
bakit kailangan two types pa ang mga screws I mean yun cross and flat?

Hindi lang Philips (Cross) and Flat.
Meron pang Torx (6 ang slots) as compared to Philips' 4.

September 23rd, 2010 01:03 PM #7Different designs or types for various product and industry appicationsl. like sa electronics dito sa laptop ko, puro cross. para secured ang screw driver or tool while tightening or the other way around.
Another thing like allen heads. To ensure only professionals can do the job. Like sa cars. the same sa mga special tools.

I know there are a lot more screw types but I'm just limiting it to the most commonly available, cross and flat.
siyempre pag special na type eh di bibili ka rin ng specific tool for that, parang sa cellphone before parang star type yun screws niya, then pag allen, eh di bibili ka rin ng allen wrench.
but common na meron sa bahay eh philip screw driver or flat lang.
