i use boss/sir and miss, sounds more professional than using ate or kuya.
Buti nga kuya/ate. Someone gay employee here in BDO called me totoy. I was in full corporate attire.![]()
Kapag chicks, "Ga"!![]()
Fasten your seatbelt! Or else...Driven To Thrill!
Girl -> Gay - Sister
Girl -> Girl - Sis
Gay -> Gay - Bakla !
Hahahahha
I agree. Ate and kuya are mostly used by those belonging to the lower socio economic bracket. So those from higher brackets use the ate and kuya term na rin to establish some sort of connection. But I never got used to that because in school it has been our practice to call the guards and janitors manong and manang. I stopped doing this when I reached my mid 20s because the people I am addressing manong and manang might be younger than I am and find it offensive.
Now I use boss and miss. Yung driver I now call Mang something. Dati Manong.
May "dudette" ba talaga?
Ngayon ko lang narinig ito.
Ma-try nga mamaya sa mall!

Actually, some persons older than me call me Kuya. Even my friends that are younger than a year from me call me Kuya
