Everyone knows what Gretchen is all about. That's why high society doesnt take her seriously. Di nga sya pinapansin e. Imelda Cojuangco hates her. hehe

The thing about high society is it's not only about money. U cant buy your way into high society. It takes more than money. It takes pedigree.

Even if gretchen can afford all the luxury goods and jewelry and stuff, that doesnt pave her way into high society.

Pa-Sosi – “nagpililit” kahit medyo bitin though walang masama
Sosi- mataas ang taste pero kaya naman - walang masama
Mayabang – kahit di kaya, or di nya ginawa kaya pa rin n’ya at
    nagawa na niya– masama yun

the new rich is flashier than the old rich. may konting conscious effort sosy nila. Pero may K.

the upper middle parang new rich. mejo blurry line dito coz on the outside, they look almost the same. Difference is in the financing of the image.

lower middle class and not-so-poor poor--- eto na--- dito madami pa-sosyal. they try to imitate the upper middle class or even the rich. Halatang halata trying hard sila. As in IN-UR-FACE sosy ako! hehehe

before anyone reacts violently, i want to state that everyone has the right to move up in life. Kanya kanyang paraan lang yan. Yun nga lang there are people who have a funny way of trying to move up.
    well defined po ninyo sir!

Which reminds me, may ibang old rich na tuwang tuwa pag nakakabili sila ng murang bagay sa tiangge at talagang ikinukuwento pa sa iba, samantalang meron din simpleng empleyadong di naman kataasan ang sahod pero laging bukang bibig branded at mamahaling gamit.

It's coz the old rich dont have to prove anything to anyone. Everyone knows they are loaded. Actually that's want they want to avoid. They actually like people to think la sila pera.

On the other hand, the pa-sosy wants exactly the opposite. They want people to think they are rich. And they really go out of their way to try to prove it to people around them.
