    Do they have money order or cashier's checks over there? Probably the cheapest but also the loooongest wait.

    If you're going to be regularly sending money to the US to the same person: Ask your friend to open a Citibank account. Once you have the account number, you can deposit the funds here in Manila at a Citibank branch. I believe the account will be instantly credited, wala pang fee, as long as your friend can maintain the minimum account balance.

    nope... works best if you can insert the rolled-up cash into one of the stitched seams of the shirt or blouse. Of course, you have to let the receiving person know that you have inserted the cash somewhere in the shirt/blouse through a separate letter, sms, etc (never in the same package).
