While bawal si Madame Auring sa NSW thread here you can actually gaze into your crystal ball and venture to say what you think the state of the nation will be like next year. As the new year dawns upon us what will 2007 bring or not bring...

    2007?

Expect a lot of self-righteous noise and bluster from the politicians as the next impeachment window comes and goes, and expect nothing to really happen.

The planned "single-house" Charter Change bid will fail miserably as Congressmen rush back across the fence to protect their asses in the elections... expect no major upsets or change in numbers for either administration or opposition, but expect a certain loudmouth to get first seat (you know who I'm talking about) as bigger opposition figures set their eyes on Senate seats.

No more military adventurism. They've learned. They'll bide their time, as there's no obviously better choice than Arroyo waiting in the wings. That's why she isn't so gung-ho about Chacha anymore, she's got to toe the line.

    -----

After holding off for so long, just like Karel Marquez and Amanda Griffith, Madame Auring will bare herself for FHM.

Bayani Fernando finally admits that his "pink fences" weren't such a hot idea. Green-and-Yellow Polka dots will now be the standard color.

The MMDA will finally admit the yellow lane idea is flawed, since the buses don't always stay in the yellow lane. Solution? The only white lane on EDSA will be the leftmost lane... and in places, the left shoulder only.

Toyota will finally announce a D4D recall, stating that they have finally found a solution to the problem. It involves taking the fuel-injection system off and replacing it with parts from the old Tamaraw FX. The system will be called "B4D" (before Diesel).

Norkis will pull an upset over Chevrolet and shall be named "Best in Customer Service" for 2007. Seeing as they only have a thousand customers and six month warranties, that shouldn't be too difficult. :hysterical:

Expect to see fafi Carlo and MBT riding around in their new Alterras next EB, spouting praise for everything Isuzu. It's perfect! It's an Isuzu!

Tsikot will be renamed the Kia Picanto Club of the Philippines in a revolt led by fafi OTEP. A breakaway faction named the Hyundai Club may soon follow.

Ghosthunter will soon form his own breakaway group... the ULUL. (United LPG Users League)... sponsored by Khaos Fuel Saver and Top Gear Philippines.

The current forums will grow from 16+++ forums to 30 forums and dozens of subforums. Highlights will include "Me and My Tsiks" (spin-off of "Me and My Tsikot" ) and "Goonita Squad" (dedicated to all women drivers... ).

Tsikot will reach 1 million members, and the Yehey servers will crash for months at a time... this will cause fuel prices to skyrocket, as hundreds of thousands of tsikoteers, with nothing to do, will actually be out driving instead of staying on the internet, and local stockpiles of fuel will be used up.

The Philippine Car Of the Year 2007: Isuzu Crosswind Sportivo!

    Now, where's my Alterra?

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

+ the stock market would hit 3200 before the end of the first half of 2007, 2007 closing would be around 3400-3500

+ we would see more porsche, maseratis, aston martins, and lots of exotic cars on the road

+ since finance people have lots of cash, their girls would increase spending, thus a consumer spending boom that would lead to a better economy

+ because of their spending, LV, st. johns, etc would open new stores

+ embassy have to reinvent itself or limelight would be stolen by an 'soon-to-open-bar'

+ the planned open space for the fort (under construction) would open but just like greenbelt would be just overhyped...

+ there would be an office space shortage, either we have to build new buildings, or office rent would increase

    + P40-47 = $1

    + unleaded = P30-34. tiyak yun!

+ 2007 elections would not be the 'story of the year'

+ housing problem would be lessened

+ because of our mining resources, Gold would become the new 'black-gold' (labo ano?)

+ electricity rates might become more expensive since transco and napocor would be privatize, or it might be cheaper since lots of competition na

+ stock market IPOs (GMA, Shell, etc) would be 2007's hottest-get-rich-scheme

+ SUN, GLOBE, and SMART would push each other

+ we would have better communication lines, better roads but more traffic (eh kasi ginagawa)

+ foreigners would soon flock us, not the other way around

+ 2007 elections would be very controversial and messy...

    ----

    just my forecasts... hehe
