Christmas party Saturday morning after shift which I can't miss because I am in charge of the Kris Kringle. I'd probably be too sleepy and drunk to catch a screening after. Sunday naman, Disney on Ice with family. I can't miss it coz I spent for the tix. [emoji28]

Small consolation -- reviews are out, and this one's not as highly regarded as the other installments. The reviews are actually mixed across the board.

Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker Reviews - Metacritic

    A sample review

    "ReelViewsJames BerardinelliDec 18, 2019

"The movie consists of a bunch of random events and, if you pause long enough to consider things like plot and motivation (something you’re not supposed to do), it becomes evident that most of the movie doesn’t make any sense. Add to that an anti-climactic ending, scattershot editing, and too many extraneous characters and the last Star Wars movie is the most bloated and least satisfying of all the main-line adventures."

Disney is mimicking what SAIC is doing w/ MG.[emoji13] Without Lucas, the franchise won't be the same.

i think it's coz the new star wars movies have no story or book or comics or anything to draw from

disney has nothing to base the new movies on so they had to come up with things from thin air

Ever since they came out with Episode-1, I've lost most of my interest with the whole franchise. It's all re-hashed plots and twists and turns.

Same. They just changed the names. Plot is the same.
