I noticed that modern Pickups and PPVs are quick to speed up from 0 to 80 km per hour but accelerate like a Crosswind/diesel Adventure at the speed above 80 to 140 km per hour.

Weight, as well as peak torque coming in so early and dropping off a cliff at 3,500 rpm is the reason they really arent barnstormers.
