Nag keto ako before...i folded kasi di ako maka kain ng pancakes..pero sa lahat ng protocols sya pinaka madali it follow, it took me 2 weeks yata bago nawala cravings ko sa carbs..pero ang secret to lose body fat is cardio...and lots of it..if i want to gain, i just remove it..if i want to lose, its netflix and a stairclimber or a bike..

I have to agree with cardio as the best way to lose weight. When I started to do cycling (both outdoor and indoor), I was able to lose around 40 lbs.

Another tool that i use is a good fitness watch...ive tried garmins, samsungs and fitbits..i base how much i eat sa total calories burnt, my caloric expenditure is around 4-5.5k calories a day..that why i need to eat a lot..

What is the allure of joining these out-of-town marathons/fun runs/iron man events? Mind you quite a number of the participants aren't exactly pros or even do regular training...to the point that they injure themselves pag sumasabak sa ganyang events. Is it the glamour? Masochism?

Back then, people just ran. No event, no media coverage, no color color ek ek. They were running long long before running became "cool". Some even went barefoot.

i certainly wouldn't discourage anyone -- especially in a time where 20yo's are getting strokes -- from exercising..but what is the point of exercising when it is starting to do physical harm? If anything, coaches/mentors should guide newbies so they don't push themselves too far too soon. Babalikan sila nyan pag tanda nila.

    there is fun in numbers.
and it is nice to run with the knowledge that someone is going to provide drinks, control traffic, provide "uniforms", etc.
back in the day, we would just brave the ordinary avenues and bahala na kung saan i-inom at mag-co-comfort room. the air was cleaner back then, and so were the sidewalks...
it was cool, but on the personal level only.

"check with your doctor" is nice. but really... who does it, before and not after the unfortunate event?
    heh heh.

I have a few friends that frequently competes at the iron man, i assure you, walang newbie na susubok dun, ironman is a lifestyle, pati relo mo dapat garmin fenix 5x daw, sa mga 5k-10k maraming nag pa pass out, lalo na yung mga sponsored lang ng office nila, allure is friendship and testing yourself, pushing through hardships...yung iba mid life crisis..

I see a few overweight people nag momorning walk dito sa village namin with a sauna suit on, im thinking its a tragedy waiting to happen....
