June 5th, 2018 03:00 PM #20122i dunno. i'm not sure if US is such a good option now. i have a cousin there who just quit his job in HR. i think he's burned out
also think about long-term job security. artificial intelligence will take away many jobs. and it'll happen first in the US. like when you call amazon customer service, a machine listens to your voice and tries to figure out what you want

Maybe this is the lamest reason to go to US. But it'll be 1st on my list if I ever migrate to US. Amazon. The shipping fees and taxes you'll save. Sometimes there are items in Amazon I want to buy but the taxes and shipping fee is more expensive than the item itself. And those "doesn't ship outside of US".
And all other courier service na I want to try. Like Blue Apron. 🤣

re Amazon, just ask a relative or friend ship you a balikbayan box. I order from Amazon regularly and when my items are enough to fill a box, my Aunt consolidates everything. I usually receive my box in about 2 months, no weight limit. Pag CA, more or less 1 month lang. The cost of the box is 75 USD ata. Sobrang sulit na kasi mga items that I buy are at least 50% more expensive here.
But I do like shopping in the US. It's so much cheaper than Manila.
