the discount is for them to enjoy life more fully, i.e., food, clothing, travel atbp, despite their perceived financial limitations. it is a modern interpretation of magsaysay's "those who have less in life, should have more in law".
the discount is not a tunnel vision at extending their lives.

It's to help alleviate expenses

have you ever felt so weak, you may not walk another step? that you have to sit down? that your prostate is saying you have to pee? hypoglycemic and weak, etc?
healthy folks take their good health for granted.

the senior citizen privilege is to help them hobble along in life.
it is not to segregate them, imprison them, nor limit their choices to the ghettoes of daily living.

stand up and give your seat to the elderly, while you still can.
one day in the near future, you will longingly look for one such seat where you may rest your tired bones.

Kaya nga meron exclusive lane for them eh. Non seniors can't use the lane for them bakit need pa nila makalipila sa regular lanes...

They're like local doctors na time lang nila importante.

And some or vast majority eh Masyado din entitled but I can give it a pass since mga matatanda na but stop using that senior card all the time para makalaman sa mga non-seniors.

the objective of the senior citizen lane, is to make life easier for senior citizens.
if they have to fall in line in the non-senior lane to make life easier for them, so be it. that is the spirit of the senior citizen law.

Try going to Filinvest Alabang, not a complete CBD but theyve run out of money to fix the roads. Lots of potholes and the surface is incredibly bumpy.

BGC and Entertainment City are decent IMO

I agree na dapat medical needs and basic commodities lang like basic food and grocery items (soap, laundry soap/liquid, toiletries).

Luxury items and those for obvious convenience should not have PWD discounts as they don't have any correlation. Pwede pa Senior citizen discount.

An influencer posted a photo of a Camry tapos ang dami comment na kotse ng med rep (thinking it's a Vios) Akala ko Altis lang ang napagkakamalan na Vios (happened to me multiple times) pero pati Camry din pala. WTF. Size pa lang ang laki na ng difference ng Camry.

Probabaly mga walang kotse or cheaper than Vios pa yung nanlalait LOL
