Are we nearing the ondoy level with the constant rain from southwest monsoon?
Tama ba na the wheel base dictates the legroom inside? I checked the HRV and it was only 9.1 cm shorter than the CRV, and just 6 cm shorter than my 2013 Civic which is comfortable enough for me.
yes, wheelbase does loosely equate with legroom. and 9 cm (3 1/2 inches) is a big difference, car-interior-wise. i daresay, that's probably about the difference between a 2015 corolla and a 2015 camry... between feet flat and de cuatro... bruised knees and comfortable ingress and egress, depending on the B-pillar...
but that depends... on how the manufacturer decides to use that extra 9 cm...
they can even increase legroom without increasing wheelbase, by pushing the rear bench higher and more rearward, making the seat ride atop the rear wheel well. of course, that may result in a pretty low ceiling.

apparently there is a superstition going around that having your pencils sharpened by an UPCAT passer will help an UPCAT-taker pass as well.
i've got tons of coins stashed in the house. one of these days i'm thinking of using the cash lane in one of our expressways and use them as payment (instead of bringing them to the bank).
hassle kaya iyon masyado sa cashier even if i roll them up and label them before hand? baka kasi kailangan pa nila baklasin and all that to count the "loose change". pati ako matatagalan pa habang nagbibilang sila.
pati sa paid parking facilities pala pwede ko gamitin.![]()
some might take your word for it and let you pass at face value, but i doubt it.
they will courteously count them in front of you, one by one. baka ikaw pa (at yung mga nasa likod mo) ang ma-inis.
remember: they are there, paid by the hour, and not by the numbers of motorists they allow to pass.
i used to bring my bottle of coynes to my suking banco. "hija, kayo na ang mag-bilang. balikan ko na lang bukas."
kasi naman, even if i painstakingly count and wrap them coynes beautifully myself, the bank person will still unwrap them and count them themselves, just the same.

Alam kaya ng mga drivers na ang JP RIZAL ST., MAKATI from Chino Roces to Makati Avenue, ay two-way traffic from 10PM to 6AM? One way lang from 6AM to 10PM from Makati Avenue to Chino Roces. Just to let them know.
I remember there was this guy who regularly comes at my local Landbank every 2 weeks with white linen bags of 5 peso coins. Guard says he owns several video-singko and 5 peso carwash machines.

P2,000. Let's see. If that were in P5 denominations, that would still be 400 pieces. 40 stacks of P50. That's a whole lot of counting. Kinda unfair to impose on an establishment, specially one with a high turnover.
it would probably depend on that establishment's business.
if i were the shop owner, and here you are, purchasing an item worth 2000 pesos,
i'd still welcome your purchase, even if you pay me 400 five peso coynes. at the end of the day kasi, i'll just haul all them metal coynes to the bank.
i'd probably ask, "sir, if you have ones and twenty-five centavoses, might i ask you pay the final 50 pesos in those denominations?"
so i wonder,
how did you lug all those coynes with you to that store?
