HEHE. That's the same route my friend and I took when we walked from Greenhills to Alabang.

i forgot. you can also ride the carousel bus system nowadays. it plies the whole of edsa in a dedicated lane. but you still have to ride those air conditioned buses from alabang -zapote road to the PITX. it's pretty straightforward i'm told.

Oh well. I don't think I'll get lost. But, I'll have relatives/in-laws accompany me just in case.

Yes, it's either you transfer to the next bus in Alabang or at PITX in Parañaque.

That's fine. That's how it was when I lived there. In fact, it was 3 separate rides.

I used to be such a car freak. Then, all of a sudden I'm willing to let it all go. There has to be a reason and it's not merely my age. I totaled all the miles I drove, both in the US and abroad, which came to well over 1 million miles so far. It's not just that. Before, it took maybe a day to recover from driving say, 14 hours straight. Now? it takes 3 to 4 days. I'm feeling the fatigue.

You've never had intrusive thoughts like "what would happen if I stab/shoot this person" It's just like the guy that opened the emergency door sa plane, he acted on it.

Another one of my recurring intrusive thoughts are running over motorcycles (like bowling pins) and sticking a knife in the kitchen electric socket

Mine was wondering "what if hammer this sleeping person on the head, will die instantly? What will be his reaction?"

    Or

Pag may naka salubung ako pulis, what if I smash this phone on his face? Barilin Kaya kagad ako? Is it a good suicide plan?

Or pag nasa 5th floor ako ng mall, and you can jump down to 1st floor, I'm wondering how traumatized the person who will see my brain splatter.

One of the funniest thought I have is jumping on a building with piano wire on my neck and rope on my feet. Then glue my hands to the side of my face. Piano wire is short enough so I will be decapitated, the rope is long enough so my body will be hanging upside down face level for the people below. The glue is so that I will be holding my severed head, upside down. I will wait for someone to pass by on the sidewalk and end up face to face.

It feels like mental fatigue more than anything else. I can do manual labor and exercise as always after a good night's rest. But, my brain says no to do an errand and drive to the supermarket. So, what ends up happening is the wife does the driving to Costco and back while I manhandle the heavy 40-bottle packs of water. I simply refuse to drive.

Wife wants to buy a digital camera for documenting lab work/samples. We've been out of digicams since camphones went mainstream. Any brand/specs recommendation? Nothing fancy, just your usual point and shoot compact cameras. Best value? Thanks.

i like SLR, but it is bigger and more expensive than the non-slr.

get high-resolution, if "blow-up size" is in the plans.
get one that can do the close-ups that you want.
get one that is wifi as well.
get one with external flash capabilities, in case one needs more fancy lighting.

many cameras already have all these, but... you never know...

    try out the item.
some units have ridiculously small controls.

look for one that does not eat up batteries.

    i internet for reviews.

    happy shopping.
