A cheap TWS, haylou is a reputable brand from Xiaomi. Search for "haylou" in lazada, there are models less than 1k. My daughter's haylou lasted for 3 years until it won't hold charge anymore.

Ang sama talaga ng standard of living sa Pilipinas

A former colleague that's now working in an overseas location is here for the holidays and invited us for dinner. I think around 16 kami. I woke up around noon time and saw messages from friends/former colleagues asking me if I am going. We were informed about that dinner around a month ago and when I was told na 17 ang date I said I wasn't sure but I will try my best. It's the last Saturday before Xmas kasi.

Last night I was set on going na until I found out today na ang daming nag confirm that will cancel because of the traffic add to that na umulan kanina.

I checked waze and it's not traffic from my house to BGC but none of my close friends are going and another friend said, hindi man ako ma traffic paano parking ko? So I didn't push through na. My BFF messaged me na another invitee told her na ang daming hindi nakapunta. I feel for the balikbayan din pero mali timing e. Yung mga loyal friends lang talaga ang sisipot there. My BFF lives in BGC din pero problema naman niya yung grab mahirap mag book. It's too far for her to walk naman.

This is something I do NOT miss about the Philippines. I've spent a few Decembers abroad and I NEVER experienced this - not going or cancelling gatherings because of traffic

    i am wondering,
    was there adequate planning time?

no doc kasi nag send pa ng message a few days before on the time and venue. Sa friends ko nobody forgot kasi napagusapan pa namin na for sure ma traffic kami today. I think yung ulan nakadagdag pa like with those that are 50/50 (like me) na hindi na tumuloy

saka doc kahit anong plano mo, you can't escape the traffic/parking issue/crowd kaya I said only loyal and true friends ang mag effort to go today kasi sacrifice talaga yan.

    i am wondering,
is there such venue nowadays, that is reasonably traffic-resistant?

It’s not the standard of living ang problema.

Again, this is not a regular hangout na pwedeng gawin every week. Minsan lang dumating yun nag invite since sa abroad na naka based and hinde pa napagbigyan.

I mean, kung pero traffic Ang dinadahilan magtago na lang sa bahay, I think ayaw lang talaga mag attend and gunagawa lang ng dahilan.

There are a lot of pay parking around BGC, one more expensive than the other. But shouldn't be an excuse to walk away from a commitment.

Kaso, ang gustong parking space eh un sa fort strip lang or somewhere close to high street. BGC is walkable 25 minutes north-south or east-west, if you are not lazy.

parang, nag-park sa SM city hall, then naglakad to robinsons pgh.

    but what i notice,
    our metro is not pedestrian-friendly.
the sidewalks have shrunk physically, and are strewn with so many hindrances.
they should give the sidewalk back to the pedestrian.
    ayusin at tanggalan ang sagabal.

    yeah tamad lang talaga pumunta

the mind comes up with excuses to justify the decision

    "trapik"

    "mahirap parking"

    "may iba naman di pupunta"

    "di naman kami close"

    haha

Sidewalks and parks are aplenty sa BGC doc. Cats as well.

Un lang un sidewalk ginawang siderun, sidescooter, sideboarding, sideskates, etc. [emoji1787]

BGC is walk friendly. When I worked at Accra Building before, I just walk to Grand Hyatt to fetch my wife and then we walk back. That’s a few blocks.
