Totoo naman especially in corporate. One advise my Kuya gave me when I first started working, was in verbatim "power dressing". I remember writing down where my salary went but it's basically suits, cigarettes and parking. Food was minimal since in my early 20s I barely ate LOL.

When my Kuya found out na I park sa gravel parking, he told me to park in our building. I told him it was more than double the cost and it would eat up a large chunk of my salary. I don't know if it was for image or safety or a combination LOL. Anyway, I am masunurin to my Kuya, when I switched to parking in our building my other friends started parking there na rin

Siguro that's also one reason why turn on sakin yung mga may reserved parking sa CBD (like crush :P)

Suddenly i have been seeing Andrew Schimmer feed in my FB I don't know him and he is complaining about the high sodium given to his wife by the nutritionist. Why did he not ask the doctor of St. Lukes about it in the first place I hope her kidney could still recover.

    yes,
there might be a perfectly good explanation behind it,
that a talk to the right person may easily clear up.

while it is easy to unload one's feelings in FB,
we must keep in mind that the potential damage to reputation is there.

    i wonder,
does power dressing work as intended?

I saw it, sobrang foul for him to blame the nutritionist and he even showed the name. Doctor ba siya to make a conclusion?

Yes agree that's the problem with andrew schimmer he just upload it to social media without knowing the facts. Btw, who is mr. schimmer? an artist or a famous vlogger? this is the first time I have heard of him.

When my colleague was hospitalized due to low potassium (daw) galit na galit ung wife nya kasi nakita nya na kakabitan na ng dextrose ung asawa nya despite na nag declare sila na diabetic sya. What would've happened if she was not there?

try dealing directly with the hotel.
sometimes, the price difference is minimal.

there are several reasons why dextrose is given directly into the patient's vein.
sometimes, it may be apparent at first glance, to be "wrong", but only because the audience is not properly oriented on what the dextrose is for.

one of the more common reasons is TKVO. to keep vein open.
in the event that a drug is needed to be injected, the line is conveniently there. no need to inconvenience the patient in looking for a vein to inject into.
also, in the event of an emergency, the line is already there, ready for drug administration. sometimes kasi, in an emergency, the patient's veins collapse, and it is very difficult to find a vein for IV medication during the emergency.

dextrose is given to the patient in various rates. sometimes, one needs only one bottle (1 liter) every 24 hours; other times, it's 3 bottles every 24 hours, depending on what the dextrose is for.

there are many types of dextrose formulations. iba-iba ang laman and concentrations.
many times, drugs are added to the dextrose drip, to be slowly given (over a period of several hours). this can include potassium for hypokalemic patients, insulin for elevated sugar or DKA or HONC, atbp.

    judiciously used,
dextrose IV is a very useful tool.

    and of course,
dextrose also contains sugar and other electrolytes, so's the patient won't feel hungry, even if he is not eating any food.

    i wonder,
what happened when the wife showed her ire?

Sakin naman it happened about a decade ago, muntik na maubusan dextrose ng second Mom ko. I took her to a small clinic for a check up. I did not know she would need dextrose so I had to go home for a few minutes to get some stuff. Pag balik ko halos ubos na yung dextrose, sobrang bilis ng patak ata, that time alam ko super delikado yun like pwede magkaron air sa vein or something? Nataasan ko ng boses yung doctor at nurses (not proud of it), I transferred my second Mom to a hospital sa galit ko.

bad publicity is good publicity, free advertising at its best, paano mo huhulihin ang tao na yung mismo pangalan (dito mas matindi kase surname) niya ay nasa labas ng building???

it has an interesting history, wrought with twists and turns.

according to an alleged person in the know,
"it's not really a question of whose name is on the building, but a question of who has majority say."
