Here we go again, it's 1:15pm and I'm no. 8 in line for the doctor scheduled at 1pm. Doctor hasn't arrived yet. Hope I don't need to transfer this to the bad trip thread [emoji38]

Work here starts at 7AM. I usually wake up early in the morning for as long as I remember.

Understandable.

Yung 2nd late dahil galing sa ibang clinic at traffic papunta sa next clinic, medyo understandable.

3rd yung pinaka malala, galing bahay and will waltz into her clinic half hour to one hour late.[emoji23]

Walang acceptable sa 3 reasons na yan. First one kung melrn scheduled OR, huwag na mag clinic after, 2nd mag bigay ng malaking allowance in between clinics para hinde magantay yun sa second clinic ng mga pasyente 3rd mga walanghiya lang talaga mga ganyan doctors, oras lang nila importante dapat natigok na sila nun covid. .

    why doctors are late:
    1. la lang. tinatamad mag-madali.
    2. napuyat dahil sa overtime the night before. many reasons possible. some good, some not good. hey! i wouldn't want to consult a puyat na duktor. baka kung anupa ang sabihin o gawin niyan...
    3. papunta na sana, merong tumawag na kumukunsulta na medyo emerhensiya. remember, many doctors still drive their own cars.
    4. may emergency operation.
    5. natagalan sa operating room. if i were the relative, "doc, take all the time you need."
    6. unstable patient. hindi ma-iwanan.
    7. sick.
    8. late transport issues, i.e., delayed return flight.
    9. hindi pa kumakain. kain muna nang jollibee. (you can't imagine how common we eat jollibee and mcdo.)

but i am one with you.
some of today's doctors do not seem to value the punctuality that their teachers valued.

Bakit ayaw nila by appointment?

Yes, itong doctor na ito pinili ko dahil on time sya when he was still young, fast forward today, he is still better than the others, 15-30 minutes late lang sya. Problem lang is ENT sya, and I cannot choose him for other ailments. All the others I've seen, at least 1 hour late. The worst is 2 hours, coming in at the end of their 2 hour consultation window.

Minsan no choice talaga. Example yung allergologist ko, konti lang sila sa MM e I only go St Luke's, Medical City or Makati Med. Nightmare magpa consult kasi 6 am magpa paskil yun ng listahan sa pinto ng clinic then you write your name, that will be your "appointment" kasi first come first serve. His clinic starts in the afternoon pero siguro 2 or 3 hrs after the start ka pa matitignan kasi hindi mo rin naman maestimate how long each consult takes. I came in 30 mins late, nag intay pa rin ako.

Wala siyang clinic the whole day, yung hapon talaga ang start niya. MMC and Asian lang siya. My Tita and I were computing nga, each consult magkano x number of patients. hahaha!

If you go on a Saturday, better be there super early daw.

my mom's endocrinologist was so popular, back then,
he would start mid-morning, and he would regularly close the hospital's OPD wing, late into the night.
this is the doctor who would openly and loudly berate his so-called mandaraya-betics and sinungalings.
i suspect, he wanted his other waiting patients to hear the berate-ing.
    ... "next!"...
    cringe.

    my cousin tried him, once.
after that first visit, he shifted to a more mahinhin specialist.
