Yung cardio ng Mom ko sa TMC mukhang busy kasi I scheduled Sep 27 pero Oct 7 na earliest slot
Yung cardio ko naman sa SLMC Sep 27 din ako nag sched pero earliest slot Sep 30.
I have specific doctors that I go to kasi. I don't go to doctors na hindi recommended/referred. May loyalty din kasi ako sa doctors saka may maganda yung alam nila history ko, like yung optha ko 20 yrs na. Naaliw nga ko when I saw my records from 20 yrs ago
- My cardio at SLMC last year (post covid) ang teleconsult niya P1000 now it's P1500 (bakit lalo pa tumaas?)
- Mom's cardio at TMC same rate lang pre covid and post covid P1000
- Pulmonologist ko at TMC P750 last time we consulted March 2021 then August 2021 it became P1500! - dito ako namamahalan kasi dumadaan sa system or app yung conversation so once the conversation ends there is no way to contact unless you pay again! So there was a time I was paying P1500 per day! (siempre pag may bigla ka naramdaman at need i report sa doctor) Even if the doctor does not end the conversation may expiration e. Yung secretary hindi naman nag rereply grrrr
- Infectious disease doctor at TMC - Sa kanya P900 lang and I can chat him sa app and he does not charge that na.
Inisip ko since text text or call call or zoom zoom lang mas mura na fees ng doctors, e bakit mas mahal pa?!?! Dami na ngang struggling for money. Ang hirap ng walang doctor like Dr APS and Dr Cutie na pwede matawagan for questions. Yung mga doctors na kilala ng family ko mostly passed away na, there was a time when we stopped going to hospitals where doctors don't make us pay PF kasi hiyang hiya na parents ko and they don't know how to return the gesture. Kung buhay pa sila lahat I wouldn't be this anxious during covid. We also have a close family friend na nun na SSPS, and they run this hospital (but I think it has been bought by a company na) She lives beside the hospital and we regularly go out and check new restaurants. If she were alive, I'd be less anxious too because I know hindi niya ko pababayaanYung mga natira naman na buhay, nawala na credibility sakin kasi hindi napagaling second Mom ko so I only go to the them to ask Rx hehehe.
Yung IM pala ng Paulinian friend ko P500 lang PF and she chats through FB. Parang unli na at P500 pero opposite kasi siya sa Pulmo and Infectious Disease and cardio ko na iwas mag gamot so 3 against 1. Si IM medyo aggressive sa treatment (aminado naman siya)Last edited by _Cathy_; September 29th, 2021 at 02:12 AM.

September 29th, 2021 09:47 AM #33643what can i say?
"they're in it for the money", siguro.
"with or without covid, i have to maintain my earning standards."
but that's just my guess.
years ago, a sourgeon confessed,
"if the patient survives, i charge 100. if he dies, i charge 120."
"because the living patient is a walking advertisement for me."
it seems logical, even as it seems illogical.
i suppose, it depends on where we're standing.
what about me?
i haven't changed mine.Last edited by dr. d; September 29th, 2021 at 09:52 AM.

Gone are the days when people go into medicine because they want to help others. I remember what my Tita said that going into medicine is a vocation. You need a good heart for it. Nowadays, ang dami na unscrupulous doctors especially the plastic surgeons and dermas. Mukha ng distorted yung patients and yet they continue to give in or even encourage more procedures.
Pinaka iwas ako sa doctors that are in it for the money. Naalala ko tuloy yung derma ko who practically said sa mental ako pumunta HAHAHA! My Mom was so embarrassed e pinsan yun ni Dr APS tapos yung asawa niya OB ng Mom ko. Until now I've never heard the end of it from my Mom. But now I appreciate that derma, kasi if she were in it for the money e di she recommended creams and procedures for me. Naisip ko nga si Dr Cutie how he earns money e kung samin nga he does not charge PF kahit nung bagong kilala lang kami. I understand with other doctors that my parents have known for many years if they don't charge PF. But then again Dr Cutie comes from old money so he doesn't really need the cash from his professionLast edited by _Cathy_; September 29th, 2021 at 10:14 AM.

September 29th, 2021 10:24 AM #33646CS is actually safer for the baby, or so some specialists say.
also, CS is significantly less time-consuming than the traditional normal non-surgical delivery that humans were born with.
laymen have no idea of what possible complications the OB constantly thinks of and weighs in his/her head, during the nonsurgical mode of delivery. to put it mildly, "it's nerve-wracking". that is why, in the olden days, OB-Gyne was a job for men. ask your grand parents, who the OBs de campanilla were, back then. more often than not, lalake ang natatandaan nila.

September 29th, 2021 10:57 AM #33647Attending a wedding in Tagaytay today.
San mas mabilis na daan?
Carmona exit then pasok dun sa parang looban, or the good old Tagay- Sta rosa road?

September 29th, 2021 11:11 AM #33649i am familiar with the sta rosa-tagaytay highway, from slex exit to qualimed nuvali (5 km, 15 minutes on a good day).
avoiding the container van surge and we should be good. covid traffic there has significantly diminished traffic.
but beyond qualimed, hindi ko na alam. if memory serves, it is the nuvali stretch that has been the traditional crawl.
going back to ncr, container vans start coming out 7 pm.
you may want to turn right and use the parallel road that exits at eton. there are several points of entry, all along sta rosa-tagaytay highway. it's faster, but more expensive by about 20 bucks.
also, consulting waze has proven, to me at least, somewhat in-accurate in that area.
pula sabi ng waze, yet when i pushed thru, traffic was good.
a colleague has used the new calax. he says it's nicer, as few vehicles are using it yet.
good luck.Last edited by dr. d; September 29th, 2021 at 11:15 AM.

This is on tweeter, a sample of Salt Bae's restaurant bill.
£11 for 1 red bull. That's ₱800 for a red bull.
£9 for a glass of coke, that's ₱620.
₱16k for service charge. [emoji50]
₱125k total bill for 4.
Maybe that's what you get for Salt Bae's cutting your steak.
